I just swapped a 5 speed into my previously auto car, is there a difference between the two in the crossmember?

Thank you all, yes, the bracket is different but I do have it. I apologize, I did not look before asking the question. The holes are in the frame. Looks like the proportioning valve may have to move. Will keep you posted. I have to get it running and move it over to a buddy's. Bought a 5 speed kit from SST for it

I am converting from auto to standard, is the location for the z bar bracket pre drilled on the frame or do I have to “locate” it. This is for a 72

Hello folks, I have swapped out a turbo 350 for a 400, I did not know the brackets for the shifter cable would be different. I need the bracket that bolts to the pan that holds the cable, and, if it is different, the one that the end of the cable mounts to. I would prefer oem. Does anyone have some for sale?

All parts are stock, with the 2 barrel brackets the throttle held open a 1/4 inch and the kick down cable wont allow full throttle even if I pull the lock up.

Hey folks, I am in the midst of converting my 350 2 barrel into a 4 barrel carb car. What a pain in the backside. I got a bunch of brackets, a couple throttle cables and though I could use the original kick down bracket but that's a big nagatory right there. Anyone out there have the stuff I need to make this happen and still look like the factory did it?

I was at a car show today and was asked if I knew where to get swivel buckets and I told the guy I would ask but that they were second gen stuff so I wasn't sure. He told me that they were available for first gen.

Hello folks, Where do the squirters mount on a 1970 Monte? My Monte is a 72 but I got a hood from a 70 and there are no visible provisions on the 70 hood like the ones on my 72 hood.

I have this engine in my Monte, I believe it is a 400 because I took it out of my truck and bolted it in with my 350 flex plate and when I started the engine it tried to jump out of the car so I went to the parts store and got a 400 flex plate, swapped it out and it ran smooth. Recently though, it has developed a lifter noise. Now just so you have a little background, the last time I changed the oil was 5 or so years ago. In that 5 years the car may have had 30 miles on it. Could this be the reason for the lifter noise or is it more serious?

Thanks, I was able to find the holes by looking down the opening at the quarter glass with the rubber parts removed and using a pick with a 90 degree bend in it poking through from the inside. Now, where do I find the barrel nuts and what size are they. The parts store I went to didn't many sizes

Hello, I recently had the vinyl top replaced and was wondering if anyone has a trick for locating the 3 holes for the Monte badges that go on the sail panels ?
