  3. Good Morning. Well, another day has ticked off the calendar and today marks 88 days and a wake-up before some of our members start arriving in Carlisle for our 2024 Eastern Meet. rob
  4. If you find you would like to celebrate your 3 year anniversary at the Eastern Meet coming up in June please let me know. It isn't too late to get you signed up to be with the best group of Monte Carlo owners. We still have a few rooms left at the club host hotel. rob
  5. Good , Afternoon today marks 89 days and a wake-up before some of our members start arriving for our Eastern Meet. Wow, it seems like just yesterday were in the 90's. No need to get nervous yet. In the background we are starting to address the things that need to be addressed to make this a more successful Eastern Meet. We need to get some more people and cars registered. While we currently have more members registered than ever before we don't have more first gen Monte's registered yet. Some members either aren't bringing a car or the car they are bringing is not a first gen Monte... All are welcome but let's get some more first gen Monte's registered. Carlisle Events is supposed to be sending me a listing of how many registrations in the club name they have and how many of those are first gen Monte's. As of right now we only have I think rooms available in the club host hotel but I have contracted with another hotel for some more rooms but that hotel is the nearest one I could find with enough rooms to give me 10 or more rooms, none of the hotels near the host hotel had enough to write a contract. If we do run out of rooms at the club host hotel I will start a waiting list for people who want to be on a waiting list for a room at the host hotel. With car show and cruise season upon us start stalking people to join the club and at the meet. rob
  6. No gray hair on any of them so safe to say I'm not pictured rob
  7. Congratulations on your 3 year Anniversary. In a couple short years you will earn a grill badge. rob
  8. How much do you want for those shoes? rob
  9. Did you get any pictures Mark? We love pictures here. Glad you were able to get your car out to a show. rob
  10. I bet you would not have been the first person to do that.. What, who, me. NAH, not me. rob
  11. Ray, You first logged in in August of 2004. That means you have been checking in on the club website for almost 20 years. As far as the post count is concerned, it currently showing you as 132 but that count is incorrect, it may be many, many more than what is showing because a few years ago we updated our club website and when that happened everyone here lost their post count and started back to "0". Looking at your profile, since September of 2018 you logged onto the club website over 320 times which calculates out to over 50 times a year so almost weekly. Even if you have offered up information to others here, I am sure you have also asked for information. The dues for our club are not only to keep the club up and running it is also to keep this website operational. Web hosting is not free, nor is keeping a club operational with expenses like the website, mailings, club insurance and many other bills that must be paid. Compared to other clubs, our dues are not very high. Is our dues worth $25.00? I think you would not find any other First Generation Monte Carlo Club website or for that matter any Monte Carlo Club Website with as much available information available or as reasonably priced club dues. I am sorry if you are offended if some of our members are urging you and others to become a dues paying member, it is because it is the dues paying members that are making it possible to keep this club and this website operational... especially when they see someone who has been benefiting from from the use of the club website for almost 20 years. If when you say.. "Having said that I am outta here." and "Goodby" mean you won't be returning that is your choice and I am sorry you feel that way, but the club will survive on our dues paying members who know a good thing when they see it. rob
  12. Good Morning, today marks 91 days and a wake-up before some of our members start arriving for our Eastern Meet. rob
  13. Maybe we could add a beans and cabbage tray for the Awards Dinner at the Eastern Meet, it would certainly make for an interesting Saturday Evening of bench racing and members drive home the next day. rob
  14. Jeff, For as much of a pain in the butt as they are to change you would be better off buying new. No, they are not cheap but why put a set of old ones on that may be almost as brittle as the one you are taking off. rob
  15. So is it because it causes you to fart too much? rob
  16. Willie, you could try my recent diet but I don't recommend it very highly. I call it an Inspire Diet. rob
  17. Good Morning, today marks 92 days and a wake-up before some of our members start arriving for our Eastern Meet. rob
  18. HAPPY ST. PATRICK's DAY!!!! rob
  19. I didn't see a picture of Lyle but his car does look fantastic... Sorry Willie, my wife was an editor in her career and some of it has rubbed off on me. We have a plaque in our kitchen that says.... 'Punctuation Saves Lives. Let's eat Grandma edited to Let's eat, Grandma' rob
  20. Wishing everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day. On St Patrick's Day everyone has a Wee Bit O Irish in them. Enjoy your day and don't drink too much green beer. rob
  21. Good Evening, today marks 93 days and a wake-up before some of our members start arriving for our Eastern Meet, I hope you are able to do some work on your pre-meet Monte projects because after this weekend, you will only have 13 weekends to get them done. rob
  22. I could be wrong but Bob may be looking for pictures of how the vinyl top trim on the 70 with full halo is routed and/or how the vinyl material on some 70 and all 71/72's tuck into the windshield trim. rob
  23. She is wrong about residue from the chrome process. In preparing the bumper to be chromed the entire bumper is stripped. Only the front, exposed area is plated. The rear is usually left with a light coating of something from the process. When I had my rear bumper rechromed I painted the rear of it to avoid the rust like is on the one you pictured. The one you pictured should be able to ve sanded, primed and painted. rob
