  1. I got mine from Original parts group last spring when it was on sale. I saved around 50 bucks. Anyway the quality is great, and it includes all clips. $305.95 is what I paid. It is $355.95 regular price not on sale. http://www.originalpartsgroup.com/

I'll 5th it. I have seen Leo's work. It is great. If he didn't live in Michigan he'd be doing my Green Car.
  3. That looks great. Its not original but who cares, it goes with the rest of the cluster. I bet it saved a lot of money on trying to put an OEM style tach in.
  4. No becareful, but the Monte door panels are not made of plastic. They are made of cardboard and vinyl. Just make sure you know how to take them off before you go prising with a screwdriver. Try looking for the buildsheet under the gas tank, if you've looked everywhere else. It could be that some cars does not have a build sheet, as they was supposed to be thrown away.
  5. Any plans to buy another SS454 one of these days? By the way found me a 454 Ed to go in my Green car. Also do you still have all of those NOS parts?
  6. HEY HEY HEY I HAVE A PATENT ON THAT!!! Anyway yes it is a good saying. Got that off of American Muscle Car when the show is ending. Oh by the way its the FIRST GENERATION GREEN MONTE CARLO CLUB! Hence my AVATAR
  7. Glad to have you back Lisa. We had all wondered wher you had gone. Oh by the way you done a great job on that emblem.
  8. Ed. All the parts I got from you made it home safe. I hope you find the SS454 that was stolen.
  9. That is what I was thinking.... It seems there is alot of room between the firewall and linkage and the exhaust manifolds. I will be installing a 454 with the large chamber super comp headers...maybe they won't be to big of an issue.
  10. Thanks for the info. Yes that is always a great idea. For some domb reason they put the heater motor in the hardest of reach areas on these car.
  11. Are the innerfenderwells a pain to install, or are they relatively easy? I'm gonna have to invest in some in the next year or so.
  12. I have since converted it to floor shift... I think those referrences were to the quote above, because I drove my car over a year with my large Hooker Comp`s and never had any contact with the linkage... 502ci hmmmm.... Earlier in this topic it was stated that the big tube headers would get in the way of the linkage. Well that is good to know because I was planning on putting my 454 in the car before I mess with changing it to floorshift.
  13. Just another header question for me. Where exactly does the column shift linkage run where the header will come in contact with the linkage. Please clear me up on this.
  14. I'm changing my car to a FLOOR SHIFT CAR, will this make a difference to make them fit.
  15. I have to been told to use HOOKER SUPER COMP HEADERS with the big tubes. Of course they'll set u back around $400. Very good headers though, this is what I will be putting on my 454 SS.
  16. I heard a rumor that they do not reproduce the gas hand for the idiot light cluster, is this true? Yes they make a new clock.
  17. Or it should be tacked to the top of the page. Just the correct finishes. This would help if wanting factory finishes.
  18. Just paint them all nice and glossy
  19. Thanks for the compliment on my Monte. Yes I believe anyone with a 1970 Monte should have these moldings if they can be found
  20. Thanks, this will be very helpful...as I will be putting in a cam in the next 8 months or so, when I get some more $$$$$
  21. That is very weird. I have never heard of that happening before
  22. Here is my Monte Carlo at the Eastern Meet this year with the headlight molding in my signature.
  23. Those things are rare and hard to come by even if you do take them off. Don't toss them. They will bring a nice price to somebody in great shape. Check out an NOS one on ebay sometime
