No rain today, altho we needed it. After I spent the day last month with the chainsaw cutting up the fallen trees I realized I was over my head. So had a crew tasked with the dead trees waiting to fall and the other sketchy ones . Now waiting on the fence crew.

DragCat replied to Canuck's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
Got the cover off mine yesterday, hopefully back on the ground and out for a cruise this weekend 🤞 -
Unfortunately its on ongoing trend 😡 I'll stop before I go off on a rant 😠Saved the tax payers $$$$$ on a trial and possibly just a slap on the wrist 😡 My thoughts and prayers go out to the families ( the officers) BIH thug

I believe your talking about the "steering column lockout" arm, (yea one of the few correct terms I learned and sort of remembered 🤣) As Dennis said it's adjustable. Some of us, had an issue with that when we added headers (altho some of us MAY have tried to reinstall backwards, I haven't returned to that issue yet 🤣) I currently still have it zip tied in the up position without the arm going to the tranny 😮

I'm hoping to get the car cover off, off the jack stands, and cruising next weekend 🤞Wish I had taken advantage of that warm week in March but oh well

When does production start on orders for Smurf Custom Hood Scoops ? 🤣 -
Welcome to the madness 🤘I too was a lurker when shopping for a Monte and became a dues paying member the day it arrived in my driveway 🤣 Thanks for your support, as you know lots of info and knowledge here There's a mini-meet in Bristol in May (check the threads) and a BIG MEET in Carlisle in June. You don't have to bring the Monte to hang out and enjoy the festivities and meet the people from the club.

Good point, I was only looking at the final numbers, also subtract the sellers premium 🙃

Made 1K in two years 😮 I'm gonna say Aarons delivered price is a better investment , not to mention well detailed during ownership.

Hadn't seen the news yet tonight, glad everyone so far is ok. One of the things I hated living in Cal and working downtown LA. Working on the 55th floor and knowing my car was parked on level -8 🙃

Ive heard both sides about this and I'm NO mechanic......But was told you can add R134A to the old system. I'm sure someone more knowledgaeable will comment/update this scenario. DISCLAIMER....... maybe I was told this because I don't run my a/c, I just wanted to test the system after the engine swap to make sure everything was working properly. I bought the adapter kit, charged and tested the system, all ok. Haven't used it since. I removed the fittings to keep the stock look 😮

I believe I had my 1st accident in a similar model 🤣

Not sure why you quoted me in this 🙃

2 things, and I'm NOT trying to pick apart your car......1st loose the front SS license plate.....and I did the same thing for a minute 🤣 it takes away from it being a Monte SS not another GM SS. 2nd either remove the rad overflow tank ( it looks like hell in that clean engine bay) and the 70's didnt come with one. Or get a new replacement (for example for a Nova) and put it in there. Looks like you fab'd a bracket for it. Like I said, really nice looking from the pictures good luck wherever you choose to list it. For a conversation piece, put a black zip tie on the upper rad hose to the fan shroud, those in the know will be checking to see if its an original piece because they aren't available anymore,

Don't own sandals or those croc things , I do own a pair of flip flops for the beach tho.
-
Saw on Roadkill, if you don't have the gap tool the end of a zip tie is about the same size

Its NOT a depth perception issue, but yea stuffing the suburban and the car requires a little width guidance 🤣 But I appreciate the offer. On a side note, its funny how many people were cautious passing me on the interstate in the old suburban
