  1. I just replaced most of mine, no adhesive needed (1970 SS ) I'm pretty sure Ron also did his with new trim. I ordered all new pieces I'm not a "stock" guy so someone else will chime In with the "original" configuration on trim.
  2. Well it was in the 70's today and I almost pulled the car cover off and took it off the jack stands but . .......... I was a responsible adult and got the chain saws ready to walk the fence lines this weekend and cut up the trees and limbs that fell over the winter 🙃 Maybe next week
  3. Ok, maybe I'm just old school but this irks me. 48 hours and no reply to the answers that were posted to the question. People take the time to respond and try to help and then its crickets 😲
  4. Good info, wish the blue oval people followed the same rules 🤣
  5. Just a quick question to the group, since I had this issue on my blue oval......Are the flashers for the LED's polarity sensitive?
  6. What are you replacing with ? I upgraded to poly mounts, also upgraded the trans mount at the same time
  7. I had to go look at my 70, yep have'm. Never knew there was a difference
  8. See how good I am at photoshopping, I can even change the wheels on the fly 🤣
  9. I would have never known Willie until the subject was brought up 🤣 Always learning around here
  10. 46.2 out the door, then add transport and taxes when you get it home. Nice but too much coin IMHO
  11. We need him to put the corvette out to pasture for the next Monte project. He's got to much lazy boy time these days 🤣
  12. The main reason I even watch the show is the fab shop guys. While I do appreciate the paint and body work it doesn't interest me one bit, can't do it not interested. I can't do the fab work either but its interesting
  13. Also the forum search feature, altho sometimes a tad bit extensive has lots of info/experiences of what people have gone through with stock and upgrades on their Monte's
  14. I'm sure you were glued to the TV last night NOT 🤣
  15. Just like tools, if you dig down deep enough most are made in the same plants just different logo's 🙃
  16. This showed up on Hemmings as "inquire on price" but the site listed it as 34K https://www.nsclassics.com/used-vehicle-1972-chevrolet-monte-carlo-numbers-matching-350-engine-see-video-c-5663/
  17. I got a NAPA battery on my John Deere 🤣
  18. Ive used Interstate on all my "cars" good luck so far. 🤞 My local BJ's warehouse also sticks interstate if you can find the right model "in stock" One thing I do since none of my cars are daily drivers I disconnect one lead when I pull into the garage.
  19. Must have missed that one, I like Mecum on day 1 /2 not a lot of reserve or crazy price cars I didnt watch the whole day
  20. Interesting set of options. Just thought I'd share https://www.primoclassicsllc.com/vehicles/775/1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo
  21. Well at least they quoted Rob on some and gave a nod to the forum. Hagerty valuation tool now makes you join to get a guesstimate on price/value on level 1 and 2 🙃 They give a value of 38K level 3 for a 70 SS. Prices have definitely climbed up the last couple of years
  22. I see you've already started playing with the fonts Rob 🙃🤣
  23. Yea my eyes are too old and my fingers are to fat for typing on the phone 🤣 Not taking anything away from Joe enhancing the forum
  24. I always heard growing up if you have to ask how much you can't afford it 🤣 Like watching a Mecum auction waiting for the reserve to come off 🙃
