  1. its beautiful. looks to be worth the money
  2. well did you make the deal. I just heard a friend of mine bougt an Indian from a friend. the following week he was going to pick it up. The seller wound up in the hospital and didnt make it. the son sold the bike to someone else. the son had found the title while his dad was in the hospital. Hope you have heard enough wait until later stories to convince you to make your deal.
  3. Bond James Bond. If you say 007 i think Sean Connery. No other person comes to mind. I enjoyed his work. RIP
  4. find someone or someplace that restores corvettes. the seem to do the most rivetting of ball joints. there is even a corvette websight that sells the toold and rivetts needed.
  5. I believe it goes under the upper control arm
  6. That is on my list of favorite cars. i have never owned a 4 door car or a 2 door pickup. never rode in the front seat of a station wagon

Nice ride enjoy it every minute you have. I am sure you would make your dad proud.
  11. I agree with Tom. The pump is the way to go. you can also go with a smaller booster if your not looking for that stock look. i dont think a 9/16 hose will add much difference.
  12. If you go on ebay you will find the housing or the pump. they also reproduce them. I believe if you buy from discout or autozone your going to get a square pump body
  13. Xylene will work, slow dry so you can work with it. Acetone or lacquer thinner will work, i have used it all to clean plastic and rubber, just dont soak it.
  14. I have 12.5 volt at the starter Bat and when i turn the key i get 12. at the solwnoid wire. i have a heat shield on order but i dont think that is the issue
  15. if i remove the Solenoid wire from the starter and measure volts to the wire from battery ground i loose less than .5volts but circuit stays over 12 volts.
  16. nothing. I hear the flasher relay. i have lights. but wont turn over.
  17. It seems that when the car gets hot it wont start. i have a BBC. the battery and cables are new, the starter is a delco new, i have taken voltage readings and the seem normal from the battery to the red on the bulk head and the solenoid wire from the bulk head to the starter. thebignition switch and nuetral safety switch is new also. I am not condeming the new starter because the old starter did the same thing. any clues or ideas. thanks
  18. I had my speakers reconed. if your ok with stock, then i will say doing the stock speakers is cheap. if you plan a different stereo you can have the speakers reconed to the ohm rating you need
  19. the pipe should have a date on it. you can look at ebay or offer up to get an idea. To me it comes up as 91-06 harley super glide
  20. The a6 compress is not a bad compressor. but after 50 years sometimes it needs more than a front seal. the shaft goes bad and gets pitted. if the compressor has to much axial play it also wont seal.
  21. that tweak on the side is probably somone jacked it up there. the rear is probably from a poorly placed bumber jack or the wrong jack. someone on this group has measurements tou can take to make sure it is not a problem
  22. reset the proportioning valve and recheck
  23. Glad it worked out for you.
  24. if you put that tool on it and turn it to the side then hit it a few times i believe it would pop off. Like Cbolt said now how most people seperate them but your not reusing the ball joint
  25. From what i can see, rust is not your issue. If you have a ball joint fork some call it a pickle use it, if you dont rent it. if you insist on doing it with out the tool , ge a big hammer and hit the knuckle with all you got, it will eventually fall out. trust me rust is not your issue.
