All input is appreciated. When in doubt ask the experts. I wasnt going to paint until spring, But I have alot of free time due to COVID I have a scrap patch panel that I am going to experiment on. I will post results weather permitting. Chris

I will be spraying over base. I did some patch repairs over summer and had a mix of paint/primer/filler. I used Eastwood epoxy primer and blocked car. I mixed paint I had from other projects. I was going to try the Rustoleum clear on a scrap piece, I also have some KBS diamond coat to try.

I am going to try to spray some clear on my car before winter, expecting a few nice days in NY. How much clear do I need per coat for whole car? I would rather have extra than not enough. Any recommendations for which brand is better or preferred?

Finally got patch panels in. Need to do some finishing work. I think the gaps are good.

Thanks for info. I rewired my car with an AAW kit and the bulb socket for these lights doesnt fit. I am looking for a part number for the bulb socket as well. I assume the reflectors were the same for Monte and El Camino Chris

When I got the car the everything had been painted blue, bumpers. door handles etc, the buckets were covered in blue overspray. I cleaned them but that is as good as I could get it. Chris

Need a little help with turn signals First, when I got my car it had orange lens for the front turn signals in the bumper, is this correct? or should it be clear I also need light sockets for these lights. If anyone has a part number. Here is a pic of the bucket I believe it is correct for a 70. Thanks Chris.

Reupholstered bucket, new and old

Reupholstered rear seat today, looks like I was 10 days short of 50 years.

Removed rear window due to water leak in back seat. Going to replace headliner since window is out.😄

I also used the AAW 50336 kit. My harness had been cut and spliced many times over the years. I rewired the whole car in a few days with no problems and I added a vintage A/C kit and updated radio.

I am in Lynbrook by Hempstead Lake. My car was someone elses project I picked up, just a roller when I got it . I put a 454 bored 30 over, rewired the whole car and added A/C for the family. Some critters got into the headliner over the winter, so the interior is my next project.
