The Parts Place is awesome!! With an order of that size, they’ll throw in an original lug wrench/tire iron for free When it arrives, you can use it to pry open your wallet, remove $25 and send it to the FGMCC to become a dues paying member. It’s the best money you’ll spend for all the help and advice you’ve gotten for free all this time.

Replacing motor mounts on 402 with the motor in a 71 MC. Can someone walk me through the best way to replace the motor mounts with the motor in the car. STEP 1: Pony up the $25 annual membership dues and become a member of the FGMCC STEP 2: Reap the benefits of the mechanical advice which you seek.

Nice clean car. If I had Joe T. Cheddar, I’d be thinking about completing my First Gen Hat Trick. Would have to add Vintage Air.

Reference Books on First Generation Monte Carlo

Welcome! As already stated, there’s damn near limitless knowledge here. I hope now that it’s in pieces, you decide to throw out six of them. Yeah… I’m talking about those body side moldings 😂 All kidding aside, welcome to a great site. More pix are always appreciated and enjoyed. -
Welcome Leo! Keep on it and keep the pix coming.

Good. But better with creamy horseradish sauce

Right? Rare is for prime rib, not a Frankenstein’d Monte.

I don’t blame them at all. There’s unwritten rules and codes that demand strict compliance at these shows. I can’t tell you how much it impresses me to see kids at shows who stand with their arms behind their backs as they lean in to take a closer look. I always compliment them and their parents in such instances. But there’s always at least one or two jackasses who have to get sideways leaving a show. And it’s always inevitably too close to people or cars. There’s a time and place for everything… Dumping the clutch at 5000 RPM on the way out of a family oriented fest with kids nearby? You’re a special kind of stupid who needs to be talked to when located at the next show.

“The throttle stuck wide open. The owner hit the brakes hard but there was just too much power.” “Neutral” comes in handy in such a rare instance.

Look a little further on your sheet, is ZJ9 on there? Didn’t see this earlier, Joe. No, ZJ9 does NOT appear on my build sheet

Thanks. That’s what I’m looking at… That socket with the fiber optic cable. We’ll see what others might chime in with before I commit. I have a counter offer good for about 20 more hours.

Is this RPO U28 ashtray light fiber optic as part of the U46 “Lamp Monitor” system? I believe it is, but want to be sure before I chase down a part.

You’re a First Gen Build Sheet archeologist after that excursion. Congrats on locating your baby’s birth certificate. Erases any doubts you may have had regarding authenticity.

Very cool, dude! Way to represent!

I second everything CK said. While the eastern meets are kind of a haul, they are definitely manageable after doing some logistical tweaks with work and the home life. A western meet is definitely in the cards after retirement.

Where’s the AC compressor and related parts? And no gauge package either.

Agreed. TK did a lot for the veterans. And he gave us all some great music.

So all 70’s… until now? Coincidence? Or something else?…

That settles it, then… I’m gonna give him over his asking price.

Very close if anyone needs me to check it out in person or grab it. Got a high school buddy that lives in Naperville. Could use it as an excuse to have beers with him. I might pick it up just to use it to whip you.
