  1. If one is going to that extent, would the use of tires that were not sized from the factory be considered an alteration ??? I don't remember seeing B.F. Goodrich p255/60r15's on any G.M. order sheet.....
  2. Yeah..... Neighbour's cat. He's a sneaky, nosey little furbag. lol
  3. Thought it would be funny...... A canine security system that doesn't detect feline mechanics.
  4. Can't be that good of a security system...... If you take a really close look, this is what I saw under the front tire. I think he was fixing the brakes ??
  5. That's one heck of a garage !!!
  6. Montelishi came with a power master mini starter.... Last summer my starting started to act up, started to drag and grind. I thought it was the starter but it wound up being that the battery was on it's last legs. New battery cleared up all the issues. Just a thought.....
  7. So that's why you have a dog..... They're so easy to blame for so many things.

  10. Definitely a G.M. guy !!!! 👍
  11. Wasn't there another thread on the site that determined that an "H" stamp meant it was a factory replacement ??
  12. The one thing I really wish First Gen Montes had are T-tops....... Had them in my '86 T-Type. LOVED THEM !!!!
  13. Hey Willie.... Sorry about the derailed conversation. From what I've seen, the tracks look similar, and being a massed produced part for all G.M.'s, I'd think they'd interchange. It's the seat width that would determine location. Here's a couple pics that might help... the first is the Impala. Hope it helps. Scott.
  14. I guess we're close.... You can see them from here. Still pretty flat, though. That's what makes the window system work..... Those long, flat stretches of open highway.
  15. Who needs A/C when you have windows up here ??
  16. I'm going to assume it wasn't a console shift.......
  17. Parenting was a whole different ballgame back then..... And strangely enough, we did survive. LOL
  18. I've had those experiences.... LOL When I was about 3 years old, I discovered my uncle's uninsulated cutting pliers...... So while sitting on a floor vent, I proceeded to cut the cord to his radio. They found me on the other side of the room, a** smoking..... Guess it was pretty funny at the time....
  19. As the Supreme ruler of all Universe Space and Time, is there anything you can do to help lower gas prices ???? Or has someone else got the job of ruling matter and energy ????
  20. Just a quick mention..... Probably not the issue, but when I swapped a 350 into an '80 el Camino that originally had a 305, I had what sounds like a similar problem. Seems I forgot to switch the flexplate, (I was young once... and dumb..) and that was what was causing the binding as I reused the 305 starter. Two broken starters later, I pulled the transmission and put in the right flexplate. But, like I said, if the drivetrain has never been apart, it's probably not the issue.

    My 76

A "Subie"....... As my brother in law likes to be called.
  22. Same here..... I guess that makes sense, but sharing a breaker between the kitchen and the basement bathroom was a bit of a head scratch.
  23. Ah.... Don't be embarrassed.... We've all heard it at least once........Usually the first time.
  24. It's the application of "new" technology to a tried and true system..... Always makes a mess of things.
