  1. I may have. I’ve got so many parts. I try like heck to keep them organized but I may have misplaced that kit. i got my original chrome out of the shop crawl space & I am WRONG! this new chrome is the same as the original. I will have to try again. Pay no attention to the ignernt guy! Carry on! 😎
  2. I purchased a set from Restoparts and the pieces on very front and very back that cover the side lamps do not fit properly. There is no way to attach them & the holes for side lamps are not proper shape. They are listed as 1970-1972. anyone have a source for these pieces that fit 1970 properly?
  3. I’m not that particular. Gold is good for me. 😎
  4. Go back with original color. The high solid clears they use these days really make that gold pop. this is mine recently painted original color. That paint is dry.
  5. For the record I didn’t do the body work.
  6. I need to see where the roof rail weatherstrip holders are on the channel. I took mine off sandblasted & plasti-dipped them. After restoring channels I am not certain. I really only need the top one, I can see the lower one in that pic. Something like the pic I posted but where I can see the “clips” would be most appreciated! second pic is of the clips I am referring to. Thanks

    Q-jet advice

Best thing I ever did was get rid of the Q jet.
  8. I call it gold. I had painter match original code. Not sure what the official name of that color is.
  9. But seriously, if it runs good & compression is good I would just change oil more & use the best gas you can. Where I live we have non ethanol & that’s all I use in mine. As Dtret said carbon cleaning is a risky business. I’m sure other posters will chime in & offer some solutions that they used in the past.
  10. Might need an Italian Tune up! 😎
  11. Ah. And here I was looking at the car. 🤣
  12. AC harness for 71 https://www.opgi.com/ignition-electrical/electrical-wiring/air-conditioning-harness6/wiring-harness-air-conditioning-1971-chevelleel-caminomonte-15440.html It’s Opgi and you might find it cheaper
  13. I have felt to put on window guides but am unsure on what to use for adhesive. suggestions?
  14. You can get complete wiring kits from lots of vendors. There is a forum for parts seeking & selling as well. The parts place OPGI and many other online stores will have that. welcone & good luck! edit to add: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-1972-Chevrolet-Wire-Harness-Upgrade-Kit-fits-painless-terminal-complete-/265113626313?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
  15. I had it tested & it turns out my heater core is GOOD. ug
  16. The heater box has a rubber grommet that takes the lines through the firewall.

I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of parts from OPGI and never had a problem with shipping. I’ve had parts back ordered but it appears on their site in the part listing or rarely I have gotten notified in subsequent email within hours of placing an order that a part is back ordered. They give you the option of canceling if so and if other parts were ordered they do not charge shipping on back orders. additionally, if you order more than $200 I think it is, shipping is free. I only had one part from them over the years that I was not very satisfied with and that was a dash pad. They could not get the color right (vendor issue I suppose) Just my two cents

The Parts place is good. OPGI is good & they will send you a Monte Carlo catalog where you can find stuff you didn’t know you needed. they are a tad pricey at times. good luck
