  1. While your at it, can you check to see if you have speaker brackets for the 2 speaker dash. Thanks
  2. Hey Dennis, while your checking stuff, can you see if you have a pair of front speaker brackets, for the 2 speaker dash also? Thanks
  3. More paint pictures. A few more pieces were painted last week. They also spent some time refurbishing a spare hood for my 69 Buick GS400
  4. Hi Dennis. Pictures to follow on what I have. I believe I'm missing a brace that secures the center of the dashboard, it would vibrate alot driving down the road. I also couldn't find the rear support brace for the AM/FM/8 Track stereo. That radio is really heavy, and the reason my radio shaft cups are broken.
  5. I'd be interested in 1 if it was at Carlisle. Traveling from Fl to Pa is a normal occurance for me. I'm going to bring mine back to Fl next week and go through everything. I have to figure out whats broken and missing. Maybe I can repair it and not replace it. Or I can buy a used one and combine the 2 into a perfect dashboard.
  6. What is the super glue and baking soda trick? Do you mix the 2 together and make a paste?
  7. The dash is in Pa but I’m headed up there next week. I can get a pic then.
  8. Dennis, want to sell one of those dashboards?
  9. I’d be willing to make the trip to Carlisle if someone had a dash for sale. Sounds like it’s the typical Chinese syndrome, quality isn’t there. im pretty sure mine is missing brackets and reinforcements that are suppose to be there from the factory, I was hoping a new one would have everything included. I guess I’ll keep an eye out for a used one. Where can I get the cups to repair the area where the radio shafts go through?
  10. Has anyone used the replacement dashboard from Restoparts? Wondering about quality and fit and finish. My original dash is cracked and beat up. Also, the area where the radio knobs go through is broken. I would like to keep the GM Am/Fm/8 track tape player, but it’s a heavy piece and I’m not sure if I can repair my dash. That’s why I was thinking about just replacing the whole thing. Thoughts?
  11. Black, but mine will be body color when done. Which will be …..gloss black.
  12. Surprise post on FB by the body shop doing my Monte. They have started to lay some color down. Making progress.
  13. Welcome to the best forum for the first gen Monte Carlo, Zachary. Congratulations on your Monte. It looks great.
  14. Thats it for now. I have some pics on Falsebook, but don't know how to bring them over here. Probably from old computers that don't work right anymore. Need to get my kids to pull the hard drives and save the pics to an external hard drive. I also had alot of pics on old phones that don't work anymore. I still saved the phones, hoping I can retrieve the pictures somehow. Again, something for the kids to do.
  15. Thats somewhat in order, the middle of it might be off a little bit. Going through pictures now to post
  16. I'll play along. Like many others, I'm sure I'll forget a few. I'll have to make a second post with some pics.I had a list writen down at one point, but after moving, I'm not sure where it is. It's around here somewhere. 17. Congrats Aaron!! Looks fantastic. I got my copy a week or 2 ago.
  18. Yes, that's my car before the bodywork was started. I think Jared S was saying that he'll leave his vinyl top on for as long as possible to avoid having to do bodywork. I get that, sometimes I wished I left my car alone and drove it. In the end, mother nature always prevails and you'll either have to do repairs, or sell it and move on to something else. Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm real excited to see color on this soon.
