  1. I have my trans temp sensor in the tans pan, my 70 runs 190° in this location but I do have an external cooler along wit the stock cooler. I want to say my top line is connected to the external cooler and then it goes back to the metal line to the trans.
  2. Here’s mine, I turned them to the drivers side the tach is angle up .
  3. Paul the ground wire is for the power trunk lock. The light is grounded via the screw holding the trunk like to the lid.
  4. Here is what my factory light l have in mine it did come off another 70 Monte and added to mine. Here is where the wires come out of the trunk lid and attach to the trunk arm
  5. Paul mine is a factory light that was removed from another 70 Monte and installed in the stock location.
  6. If I can get to it this weekend I'll grab a few pictures. You looking for overall size and the location?
  7. Chris that was on all Monte's that I'm aware of. It basically ties into the door circuit and the light has a mercury switch to turn the light on when the trunk lid is open.
  8. They are studs with nuts. The studs are pressed through the bracket that holds the brake pedal in place. A long reach wrench is key so you can apply more torque.
  9. That style of battery allows to the added connection. Had one like that in a 00 Chevy pickup and the side post stopped acting as a good - so we added a - cable to the top. In your niece's case or yours the positive cable has had the end changed on it to a clamp style and then someone brought a red cable (could have been the only color on the shelf) to be a neg cable. Over the years people replace batteries, battery cables with what was available at the stores. I usually go with the most cold cranking amps (CCA) due to all the add on's ie: power windows, power door locks, keyless entry, power trunk plus it helps to turn the mini starter over quicker.
  10. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the prayers and thoughts for my family. My dad has been added to the funeral home website and they have a digital guest book that people can sign or even send flowers through. http://www.fairfaxmemorialfuneralhome.com/obituary/Paul-Terry-King/Alexandria-VA/1778137 We were working hard to have the 72 Monte aka Baby Huey up at Carlisle for 2020.
  11. I know I have been kinda quiet on the forum lately and I wish I didn't need prayers and thoughts at this time of the year. As of early this afternoon my father passed away. Some of the people who go to the eastern meet might remember him. So please keep my family in your prayers as we start the never fun part.
  12. I put this one in my 72 ]http://www.chevelle.com/GetImage.ashx?Path=%7e%2fAssets%2fProductImages%2fJ712RR.jpg&maintainAspectRatio=true&maxHeight=300&maxWidth=300 picked it up here http://www.chevelle.com/1971-72-AMFM-Radio-P5581.aspx when its off the display is black. I've tested the radio with just one speaker and it does have good sound playing through a 4" 100 watt speaker.
  13. DJ how does the UMI frame mounts match the factory mounts? I'm wondering if they welded it together wrong. How does their motor mount work with the factory mounts? maybe keep the factory mounts and just use the motor plates.
  14. If this worked you should see the two bumper stops on the drivers fender the third one is hidden behind the hood hinge. That's on my 70 which is mostly original sheet metal.
  15. This is whats on my 72 and my 70 has three down each fender.
  16. This has been brought up at Eastern meets. 70 uses all 6 fender bumpers while my 72 only uses two at the front.
  17. Roger you can always change the end. I don’t recall what the end at the transmission looks like. What happens to a lot of the connections is they wear over time which causes them to lose their firm connection. Is it’s a spade connection you would need to crimp the other end to take up the play.
  18. Christopher the roof rail weather stripping is press into a chrome roof rail and it ends between the inner and outer sail panel. The arrows is point to the rain gutter trim.
  19. Check the elec connections at the gas padel and the transmission.
  20. Factory you would have an amp gauge in the upper right hand corner. Must of the once’s I’ve seen stays on zero unless there is a draw on the system. If it’s charging then it would be on the plus side.
  21. Rick I got that when I brought the car 3 years ago. Mr. Deveny traded his Javelin in for his u code 72.
  22. Here is a car invoice for my 72 Baltimore car as you can see it went down to NC where it was sold. What I think is odd about the invoice the buy is the salesman. It also came with the POP as well.
  23. Scott I believe the other sensor works with the spark knock. I've seen both the slip on connection and the stud and nut. If you had the dummy light dash then you would just have a water light. But since you have the gauge style dash there is no warning light just the gauge. What you could do is trace the passenger sensor wire back through the harness and see where it goes it could be the sensor failed in the drivers head and someone added the passenger side one and tied it in further into the harness.
  24. This is the best I can do for my line routing. It comes out of the fuel pump and runs behind the water pump. It came per-bent. The bend at the intake is to get back to the inlet of the Q-jet that's hiding under the air cleaner.
