  1. Keep me posted. If they're still making them I would be interested in one as well.
  2. My first Monte would go 12.4 on pump gas, NA, and full weight, and I never finished tuning the carb probably could have got a little more out of it. I had a 383 stroker motor. It was about 15 years ago so I don't think I still have the receipts or build, but it computer dyno'd about 425 hp and 500fp.
  3. That's the problem with having Quals and license in the military lol. Hot commodity.
  4. I never had any luck with V-belts. My 383 stroker would toss everyone one of them once i hit 10k.
  5. The pistons will be fine with your current application. But, can you guarantee that you wont get the power bug when you're finished and want to add a little more? Personally I'd go with forged and save yourself time and money in the future if you want to give it a little more umpf later. However, if you're certain that's all you will ever want they will do just fine.
  6. Can anyone recommend a blasting/poweder coating shop in Illinois? Prefer the South Chicago area, but open to suggestions if the price/quality is right.
  7. My first 70 I built a 383 with 500 HP and it was fine on the street. I mean it was loud and gas mileage was god awful, but I never once thought that it was too "bad mannered". And man that thing could spin. It would throw the belts when it went over 10k lol
  8. There should be a code stamped on the transmission. TH350 (1972 and earlier)= on the upper flange of the transmission housing converter opening TH350 (1973 and later) = on the right vertical surface of the oil pan If you find it, go here to decode it Linky Thingy
  9. I'm seriously contemplating throwing some sidepipes on mine. I just think they're cool.
  10. Bolt on is much easier, and there's really no reason to not bolt it on. Unless you just really feel like welding it.
  11. That's a shame they're coming from overseas though. Not that I wont order one now, but it definitely puts a damper on it. Not like anyone stateside is making a billet grille though.
  12. HAHA no joke about the chinese food being made better in America. I love Japanese food, but came here to Japan and it's ok, but I'd rather have my American Japanese food, oh and Korean BBQ is better here in Japan than it is in Korea. LOL funny how that works.
  13. Customs Clearance? Are these coming from overseas? haha, no that's the Techno Viking.

IMO to all who see drag time, street or strip, I don't care what NHRA rules say or if you race anywhere that NHRA can't touch you. Even if you just like to get on it in the streets every now and then. GET A DRIVESHAFT LOOP. They are cheap easy to install and truly are a SAFETY feature. Some of the things seem like they're just hoops to jump through to run down the track on TNT days, but really the driveshaft loop can save serious damage to you or your vehicle.
