  1. Thanks for the quick response. Not sure what I listed my car under...it surely needs to be in "Super Modified" class in that case. On a side note I never have my car judged in the club or at Carlisle. I never put the paper on the dash. Maybe someday when/if it ever gets restored I will. 🙂
  2. Super Modified? For some reason that category doesn't ring a bell, is that for the club or was it a option to choose when registering at Carlisle?
  3. I also run 32 on 4 corners. On a side note when I "raced" at the track and I was doing it with my "street" tires I raised the fronts to the max that is written on the sidewall. The rears I kept the same at 32.
  4. I put my Monte on Nationwide Insurance back in 1983. Car was not a classic at that point. When I was able to I finally had it changed to a "stated value". That went on for many years, my agent eventually died and a new agent took over. I have many vehicles insured and did not catch it but at one point my Monte changed over to "Blue Book" value. No on at Nationwide could explain why. Luckily no accidents have happened. Anyways I switched my Monte and my Corvette to American Modern classic car insurance. I went with a stated value again (and will monitor regularly). I can't really give an opinion on them because I have not had to put a claim in...which is good.
  5. I park it. I disconnect battery...done.
  6. If you have measured your wheels properly and those are correct measurements then you have a wheel that will be sticking outward further than normal. All depends on how tall a tire you want and how wide. A taller and wider tire on that rim will most likely hit the wheel lip.

    Weather

With the expected snow coming I finally put those orange markers down the edge of my driveway, normally I would have installed them back in December but we have not gotten any significant amount of snow yet. Girlfriend has a hard enough time in the summertime staying off the grass, figured better to be safe than sorry, lol.
  8. Those hooks would have to be flipped the opposite direction (which it looks like they could) before you insert it. I have a pair of spring compressors I have used a while back. I haven't looked at mine in years but I remember them being a lot more heavy duty than those in the picture. They do work but are scary to use.
  9. The only real tradition we do is go to my younger sister's house where my brother in law cooks all the main food and we bring the rest. Been doing this for a long time, most of the people in the photo I have known for over 40 years.

    72 402

My original 402 had some simple mods that woke it up which included a 750 Holley, dual plane aluminum intake, headers, electronic ignition, hotter cam (I do not remember the specs), and the heads milled for a bit more compression. It ran pretty good, went from a stock high 15 second quarter mile to high 13 second quarter mile times. Eventually I put a 502 in it and cut off another 2 seconds in the quarter.
  11. Ahhh, banana magazines, guaranteed to stop any dancing banana in it's tracks, lol.
  12. I understand the use for the side ports (although not the best looking) is to get rid of the underhood heat from that setup. Definitely different and I think it looks good.
