  1. I can see rob starting to cut that dash. Oh geesh! oh god! can't believe i'm doing this Looks good though, nice install.
  2. I wish someone would put a good video of the install out for the power trax. I HEAR its cake but if your not familiar with the rear, the directions seem overwhelming.I have heard some good things about power trax. Been waying my options like MGD and made some phone calls and found that to get a limited slip rear cost about 700.00 installed. MGD, I belive if you put a new carrier in, there re-lashing involved.
  3. Not that it would help the vibration but, what a sweet color on that monte vince! What is the paint code on that?
  4. i just put on American thunder exhaust out of summit. What a great set up. You just have to have the intermidiate pipes cut once the system is fitted. Throw on some hooker headers and you have a new exhaust for 500.00 all from summit.
  5. Nice! It must have that new car smell in there to! congrats!
  6. Well if the dash knobs are cracked then i would go with mounting it in the dash. I put a JVC in my glove box but i had to cut half the back out. it wasnt hard but it's one of those things where you half to way all options and figure what is best. I'm actually really glad i did the glove box because i actually have the unit sitting far enough back that i can close and lock the glovebox for extra security. ps. if you do the glove box make sure your unit has a remote. sucks leaning over to turn the volume up and done.
  7. Ive searched the site looking for the answer but can't find it so, sorry for reposting. Anyhow, if i have a stock 350 what type oil pump should i get. higher volume or higher pressure? I remember someone saying that for one of these it would be recomended to get a deeper pan (i dont want a deeper pan). Thanks in advance
  8. One of the easiest conversions i ever did. I was worried about swapping out the 10 or 12 gauge wire to the junction block for power but turned out to be a piece of cake. Just do all the reading you can on it and you'll be fine. The only thing i can recommend is make sure you are top dead center before you pull the distributor.
  9. Hold my breath for you! hope its something simple.
  10. I had to make alternator bracket adjustments as well. glad it's working out for you.
  11. Is it possible it's to much carb? i had a 700cfm quad on mine and it ran super rich! I had the needles maxed out and still no luck. had my original rebuilt and there was no problem.
  12. Let me know how they workout. was going to go for the same thing. I need window felts to. anyone use OPGI felts?
  13. Your going to have to find away to keep the choke open. I have the same problem and i have heard that you can modify our qjets to accept an electric choke.... i read it in the greatest carb book posted on the forums. Anyhow i used a sort of chicken wire to rig the choke mechanism to hold the choke full open. i will take pic of how i did it tonight. Anyhow, I'm sure WE can find new heat coils to make them fully function but, i always wonder if the intakes would have trouble accepting them with out some sort of modification. It's this reason that im probably going to go with the summit 600cfm carb. It has all the goodies holley does including its able to accept holley parts.
