  1. This is exactly what I did ,1” black pipe . Looks great.
  2. I’ve got these for sale $35.00 for the pair.
  3. Does anyone remember Steve from NY who made a functional cowl hood. From scratch. Amazing!
  4. Ha, I like that repacement of my bad english, very sorry !!
  5. Thanks guys, the clip type was sort of rivited and I ground off the back side of the stud , but it was still a [you said a naughty!] to get it completly off . I ended up grinding both sides flat and drilling it out to fit a ball stud.
  6. Could anyone tell me if a late 70 , 71ss has a clip type connection to the throttle cable, or a 1/4" ball stud type? I have a rebuilt holly quad on the car now but was able to find a dec. of 70 7041200 quad and the real quad has the clip type connector so my throttle cable would have to be changed to fit this rochester quadrajet. Thanks in advance, John.
  7. Could anyone tell me if they think this is a good setup for a 454 with a hot cam ?The car has stock heads on it now and I know the springs were not changed when the previous owner worked on the motor. Thanks !Read thru the add it sounds good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BIG-BLOCK...=item5197d144c3
  8. There is also a repair kit out there for the threads on the carb intake.
  9. I only started this post about the forged documents and the fake stamping part of a restoration. I also would build a car the way I would want to, what ever you do though, don't go that far as it just ain't right.
  10. Just read Hemmings Muscle mag on the convertable Z28 and had some thoughts. Cars that are done to this extreme aught to be Illegal!! No stamping of blocks . No fake and weatherd paper work. Pass GO and go directly to Jail. No problem with reproduction cars with original proofs. Just like the critic says,"Who's to tell after the 1'st sale of the car.".
  11. You might find you might need to change the spring tenstion if you have less than stock vacume.
  12. One thing I ran into when replacing my sender, the fuel gauge read 3/4 full when I filled up. I had to bend the float rod a little to get a true reading, then I was all set.
