  1. That’s the only reason I caught the 1973 date on this label. I remembered seeing somewhere on the boards that the information should be on the tune label, so I zoomed in on this one to see.
  2. Agree with what others have said. A lot of small things will make this a much nicer car. Wheel well opening moldings are a must in my opinion. More pictures would definitely be nice. Especially the underside showing rear suspension components. This is a little suspicious.

    ss registry?

Hey Lyle, I have a couple of VINs on cars that are longer in existence. Would you be interested in adding those or are you only wanting existing vehicles? Thanks, Sammy
  4. Welcome Mark! Based on your story you and I are about the same age and both got 71 Montes about the same time. I purchased mine in June of 78 shortly after getting my license, and I still own it as well. I look forward to meeting you in Somerset!
  5. RIP Gary. Prayers for his family 🙏🙏
  6. So very sorry 😢 Prayers for Steve’s family.
  7. I have to agree with most of the others. Why mess with perfection?
  8. Thanks Jim. I remember you telling me about that at the Eastern Meet in Bristol.
  9. That’s pretty! ❄️❄️❄️
  10. I was thinking the same thing Dennis, LOL! 😂
  11. I don’t remember, did the 84 Monte SS have a overdrive transmission, or was it 3 speed. 85 and 86 had overdrive and 3.73. I’ve owned this one since Dec. of 86. She has a little over 50,000 miles now,
  12. I could not get through it. Made my head hurt!
  13. Different states have their own rules, but In NC a dealer can’t sell a vehicle that’s had emissions equipment removed. At my dealership if we’re appraising a potential trade-in that’s had catalytic converters or diesel particulate filters removed, we take that into consideration in the valuation. We know that we’ll have to replace the missing equipment before we can sell the vehicle.
  14. That’s exactly what I’ve done all afternoon! Not a bad way to spend the afternoon since I can’t be on my feet anyway 😀
  15. I just replaced the hoses on my 71 when the radiator was reworked. I picked up hoses at Advance Auto and no spring in the lower hose either. I reused the spring from my old hose. Even though the hoses were made in China, they were molded and fit perfectly, unlike some I replaced years ago and had to trim.
  16. I noticed Michael’s has a spring in front where the throttle cable mounts, but Mark’s does not. Mine has two springs as well, but I have seen others that don’t. Anyone know if GM built them both ways or if they have just been changed over the years?

Welcome Terrence! Very impressive! I’m looking forward to following your progress.
  18. Thanks for sharing Ronald. I’m going to reach out to these guys.
  19. Come on down! The stuff can travel. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
  20. Yes sir!! I keep my card stash in both Montes so I have them whenever I go to a cruise in.
