  1. Thanks for the compliments everybody! I got lucky and found that shop, fortunately a house came along with it! I'm going to get an engine puller later this month and take the body off the frame and get to work. I haven't decided on the color yet, too far down the road. I will be looking for a used rotisserie later this summer. So much to do, I can't wait!!

  4. Hey everybody! I have been gone awhile, but I finally got settled into a place where I can begin a project / dream that started in 1982! Got a 30x40 shop to start a frame-off restoration on my 1970 Monte. I'll send pictures as I go, let the games begin! I'm glad to be back, I hope everyone is doing well! Duane

  12. My 70 has a brand new set of rear cargo coils I put on the car over 25 years ago,but never drove the car.I wonder if the springs are still good?

  14. i have a 70 mc. i want to do a big block with a th400 trans, and a 12 bolt rear end. and i want it to do 11's. i dont care if it is 11.99 but i want it in the 11's. now for the big questions. what do i need in the engine and trans to get there. what stall what is the best gear and tire size. i have no problem spending the money to get there i just dont want to spend the money in the wrong place. any and all info would be great. also if i need to get a short gear i would run a gear vendor also so it can be street driven. the car will be seeing a lot of track time, but i also want to be able to drive it to the track and drive it home when its done. thanks Duane _________________________

Ok,this is probably going to sound pretty lame,but as hard as i have tried,I cannot find the plug wires I am looking for.Not at JEGS,SUMMIT,or anywhere.The auto parts stores can't help for whatever reason What i need is a set of HEI plug wires for a big block with 45 degree angle plug boots. The 90 degree ones i have now are being melted by my headers.Please help!
  17. THANKS,GUYS,I REALLY DODGED A BULLET WITH THIS ONE!THE DECK LID SHOWS NO RUST FROM THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK,JUST HOLES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUNK PAN TO THE LEFT SIDE NEAR THE DRAIN HOLE. A FAIRLY SMALL PATCH SHOULD GET IT DONE.SOME SEALER & WEATHERSTRIP ADHESIVE SHOULD FINNISH IT OFF.THANKS,GUYS...DUANE
  18. i've got a question.what is the stuff the factory seals the trunk with?some kind of caulk?what is this goo ? is it paintable?you're help sure would be appreciated.duane
