First… welcome, Kevin! It’s a great group of people here, you will have no problem getting advice as you progress through your work.
Willie,
I’m late to the party on the cups you’re talking about. I saw the chatter about them in the other thread got distracted before I could respond. I didn’t think anything of them as both of my cars have them.
I purchased a new set for when I had the interior redone on the ‘70, but the shop that did the install didn’t attach them to the new console (maybe they didn’t want to drill holes into a brand new piece?). Never inquired with the trim shop and just left the belts on the floor when not in use for now.
Here’s a couple pics of the interior of the ‘70 as it arrived as well as a couple pictures of the cups in the ‘71.
When the better half rides with me I make her go seatbelt-less and I use the passenger side cups for my smokes and garage door opener 🤣😂
(Kidding)
Yes Glen, those are the ones i seen, minus the chrome strip on all the consoles. But what Lyle posted looks like what i seen in the pic from that Gentleman at Carlisle on the bottom of the back seat. Tkx for the pics, cars look great!!!

Welcome Kevin!!!! A great group here always willing to help!!!! She looks pretty good to me as a starting point!!!!
Lyle if you are reading this, the console in Kevins car has the cups that i was talking about. The only ones i have seen.

lol. I was kidding around but the original thought was banana abuse repayment.
Dennis it's impossible to repay everyone for the banana stuff, you really earned that yourself!!!! lol
And we Love you for it!!!

Lyle i have never seen them on the console (not saying they weren't there), i only seen the cups there. However they or something like them were definitely the ones i seen in the pic on the rear seat!! Nice pic!!!!

Maybe they were the ones used on console put on there.
Factory used the plastic ones shown with deluxe belts
Lyle the ones on the console i have seen a few times, they are cups where the buckle of the seat belt sits in them. Thats not what i seen in his pic.

We’re back to about $5.40 for regular again. The only breaks we get are our backs.
3 minutes ago, DragCat said:Don't get me started on gas prices 🙃 Gotta run premium in the Monte and Suburban, $4.36 last fill up, Diesel in SC was $407 and $3.69 in Va, not the bio crap 🙃, GA was $4.59 so I hoped back on the Interstate and drove a few more miles. Still $105 to fill up
I left for Carlisle gas was $3.19 i came home its $3.49 so i am sure its on its way up again. I don't think we will be the same as you Mark B, but i am sure prices are going to go up the next 6-7 months.

Mark that could be them, i only seen one pic but the belt was attached, like i say they were chromed some how. Tkx for that as at least we know that could of been them!

Aaron and Rob what you both said is exactly what i remembered and told him. I never seen them before either, so he showed me a pic looks like what you showed but it looked like it was topped with chrome or made of metal that was chromed. He also showed me a build sheet with 3 codes for seat belts, they are
AK1, A39, A85. I had told him, none of these were dedicated to the cups as far as i knew. He said it might of been in a package and i agreed with that but still wasn't convinced, because i never seen them ever.
As far as the cruise control, i said exactly what you said that NO SS had it because of the pump. He said he had no proof but seen it and the unit was mounted on the frame below the pump. I was guessing dealer install also because i remembered Bruce saying he installed his.
He was a great guy, his name was Mike, very knowledgeable from his experience with rebuilding our Montes and others (I seen pics, beautiful cars). I tried to convince him to stop by the club but he wasn't interested.

Mark B i feel for you guys over there, but as Joe said we are with you on the sales tax but reggie's are not quite as bad! I guess our thieves aren't as good as yours!! lol

I apologize for not being clear. I was not intending for this post to be for kudo's being directed to the officers, admin's and moderators. It was only to point out how we don't see that kind of activity here. It is very hard for platforms like facebook to filter out those kind of people due to the large number of people using it.

Just like Mark states still deserve a kudos and or a banana now and then for all that you do to makes this club the best!!! TY

Talking to some people at Carlisle the other day, 2 things that i could be wrong about but pretty sure i am not, but who knows the 1 brain cell only works when it wants to. lol
1) what is the build sheet code for the rear seat belt cups that are attached to the bottom of the back seat???
2) why didnt the SSs have cruise control???

That’s funny Willie. I just took a gas tank to the head today. Pretty decent gouge. lol. So the before pic will have previous marks. I worked on it about 4 hours Saturday and got all the electrical pulled. I also marked everything so the rebuild goes smoothly. We will see what the next trip brings back here.
See what happens when i go away for a few days, You know you are not allowed to touch anything!!! lol
YOU OK???

Rob while i was in Carlisle, i handed about 5 or 6 cards out to people who already had Monte's and never heard of the club. We will see how many will become members.
Also i spoke to Chad, (Green SS) he happened to be there also and he said he might take a ride but not sure if he was staying more than a day!

Thanks Glen i checked mine and i didn't see anything either. So i am guessing they were in some kind of package also. We now know the rears are most likely dealer or after market items. But i was just wondering about the front console ones??
