Very nice car, I think I remember it in High School, can't remember the kid who was driving it but did remember it was special to their family and well cared for. I had sold my 72 and it went to be restored in Tempe, the shop had bought 2 NOS rear trim panels and both were not perfect, in the packages still. The owner of the restoration shop said he thinks GM used all the good ones during the assembly and set aside the flawed ones to resell as NOS. They had well over 100K into the car so he ended up having one fully restored.

This was the buildsheet I save from either the top of the gas tank or just under the carpet. I found two and one fell apart as soon I touched it, It shows the vin on the top right hand which is the same as the title.

I finally found my buildsheet last night after having misplaced it 2 years ago. My question is in box 25 Special Order, it has a noticable FZ and looks to have either a C or O with a dash just before that code. Its a Van Nuys build sheet. Does anyone here now what that means? Thanks,Joe

The part with the ledge on the bottom will face the motor, it supports the radiator. Then you should be good from there.

That part is the exact same as the 69-70 Grand Prix and the 68-72 Chevelle. 4 door has a different lower back glass channel then the 2 door. I just sold one 3 weeks ago, have one more.

Cool, so the code does exist as a single left hand mirror.

I searched everywhere for the D35 option for 1971-1972, couldn't find one. All it showed was D33 Remote outside mirror and D34 for the vanity mirror on the visor. It would be interesting to see the actual parts number off the stem.

I sell used, original bolts for the fender, including the mounting the fender well with correct washers and to tie it in the core support. Price is $25.00 and $5.35 priority shipping flat rate box, they will be heavy. Joe

I am sure if Leo could have them made, it would have been done by now. He knows many companies and sure he has mentioned it them. The skins would be the same for 70-72, its the inner structure that makes the difference on the 70 from 71-72. That would cost a company a nice chunk of $$$ to make.

Willie, Left was rusted under the trim behind the wheel. Tucson car, trim has grass and trash that held moisture.

I have a full right side quarter panel that is coming in this week. The car is solid except the back window corners, the full quarter includes the sail panel and door jamb area if your interested, price is $400.00. It will taken off all the spot welds. Joe

Fun fact, The floor pan is the same as a Convertible A Body with all the braces and extra mounts. It has the four holes on the front frame mounts,depending on the weekday, it would either have 2 or 4 bolts. Monday and Fridays were 2 bolt days and the mid week would be 4 bolts.(LOL)
