    Marine 350

My friend offered to give a marine 350. Is there any beneficial parts off it that I can use?
  2. Speaking of unknown history of the Monte. I heard somewhere that the body design was originaly for a Cadillac. Hence the vertical tail lights. ?????????
  3. Roger on fabbing my own piece for the brace area. I kind of figured that.
  4. I am in the same boat too. When I got my car I noticed that the trunk had some work done too. After getting to know it better, I realized it was worse than I thought. I ordered a complete trunk kit from Tramraz. The best price on the internet. I won't install this untill I get my welding skills up to snuff. The Doc Dave
  5. I was just wondering, my car needs its complete restoration first before I would attempt that. I was just wondering, since the car is apart it is easier to make changes now instead of later. Unless I win money I'll probably keep the th350 and continue with the resto as planned.
  6. I have the same problem with my car, a 350 motor and th350 tranny. The car sat for along time in the previous owners driveway. When I was considering the car, it would not go into gear untill we added about two qts of fluid. I bought the car and after it sat in my garage for a month or so, I noticed a large puddle of tranny fluid under it. The weird thing is I know its not from the rear seal and I am not 100% positive it from the pan gasket. So now I am wondering if its from seals or vents too. I hope I don't have a leak in the case.
  7. My car has a small block and a th350. If I try to put in a factory 4 speed manual tranny, will the driveshaft work or do I have to get it lengthend/shortend?
  8. Thanks fellas I was kind of thinking of all of these ideas to some degree. I guess it either spend time or spend money to have new looking ones.
  9. Speaking of rear bumpers, My car came with a refurbished, replated bumper still in the box and the original, beat up bumper. I know rear repops just started, but should I hold on to old beat-up core?
  10. The th350 in my 72 Monte is not original. Is there a way I can tell what year the tranny really is?
  11. Does anybody have any ideas for original center caps that have the flat black paint flaking off?
