  1. who really know what is common, the more I try to read about it the more I get confused. I read that the engine has a built date and then the other parts are put on carb, dist, starter etc. so those parts are obviously made before the engine date, make sense my car has a build date of sept. 15 1969, engine date sept 04 1969 and a distributor july 28 1969
  2. delco-remy 1108430 dated 9J8 professionally rebuilt by Chargers Auto Electric 140.00 shipped
  3. over a year later I find one that is dated Sept 1969 which is the same month my car was built so its too late, believe i need it two months ahead July 1969. But waiting so long I figure close enough and bought it. Plus it was professionally rebuilt by Chargers Auto Electric one week later the right one pops up, now I got a starter for sale
  4. so 1108430 is the part number but to find a date code to go with my ss built in sept of 69 does not exits
  5. that page is for the 396 and 400 cu I'm looking for 454 cu, but like I said I don't know if I am reading these books right

    starter

hello, need to replace the starter in my 70ss, I would like to get a original part number with date code. I believe I need a DELCO REMY STARTER 1108430, my cars built date is Sept 69 so I was thinking July of 69 for the date code so looking on ebay a starter rebuilder said that the 1108430 didn't come out till Oct so now I am stumped on what is the starter that came with my car? thanks, Sendo

    quadrajet 7040200

so my car has a holley carb on it, was thinking of getting what it supposed to have on it a quadrajet 7040200(i think) so my question is. 1. is this the right carb for my 1970 monte carlo ss 2. what should the date code be on the carb when my car was built in sept/69 3. has anyone done business with quadrajet power 4.is it worth it?
  18. do you have to take off the door panel to install these mirrors ?
  19. thanks for your inputs, I thought that powder coating was thicker and more durable then this. when I opened the box last night I thought these were just spray painted
  20. should I accept these? the description say Moog Replacement Coil Springs Coil springs play a leading role in your driving comfort and safety. Working together with your shocks, these suspension components provide needed support and stability over bumpy surfaces and around sharp corners. Moog coil springs are some of the finest replacements available when you notice a decline in handling and braking efficiency. They're constructed from high-quality steel and coated with a black, vinyl, or powdercoat finish to resist rust and corrosion. Moog offers hundreds of sizes and styles to fit a full spectrum of cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs--both front and rear. looks like the coating is gone, dont know what coating they used but its in the box and not on the spring
  21. thanks guys, another question is there Front Coil Spring Insulator? seem to only find rear
  22. does anyone have the part numbers for coil spring close to stock? did a search and see posting for specs but when I go online I find moog-6330 https://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/moog-6330 and speedway https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Big-Block-Front-Coil-Springs-1964-72-GM-A-Body-,112747.html what are you guys using for stock height ? thanks, Sendo
