1970 Monte Carlo Hood Springs
Michael Boyte replied to Whons's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
We went with the Eddie Motorsports full polished billet hinges, The hinges are fantastic. We preferred the solid construction of the Eddie Motorsports as opposed to the Ring brothers with the cutout circles. Make sure that you order the right size struts( based on the weight of your hood ) and with a little elbow grease they too will polish up quite well . -
Very nice indeed , thanks for posting !!

Ok, I know what color most of you guys are expecting me to say, but I'm not. LoL 😂 I bet any color you decide on will be beautiful , After all the trouble you are going through doing it correctly, and starting with the rotisserie, you are definitely doing it right . This will be a fun build to watch. Good luck my friend !!

Can't say that I blame you for not wanting to risk damaging a perfect paint job . The prop rod is always a safe solution ! -
Welcome back and congratulations on getting such a nice size shop to work in. It seems like you can never have to much room. Anyway, don't forget about the pictures that we love so.

Nothing is ever simple , However there's always a way !!!! -
I absolutely love the Keystone Klassics . I would double check the backspacing . I might be wrong, I believe that the 5.5 in backspacing would work a little better.

If that car is local to Greensboro, I'm surprised that I have never seen it around the local shows ( however I have been gone from that area for 7 years ) . I will have to say, it's a beautiful car . Great color combo, definitely pops !!! -
I too would paint it orange !!

Ok , it might just be me . I grew up going to Petty Enterprise . At that time, it was located next door to Lee Petty's house in Level Cross NC. We used to go there about every other week . The Petty's were always so nice, they would let my brother and myself just roam the shop at will. Later on my wife and I worked with RJ Reynolds sports marketing, She was a Smoking Joe Camel model ( Jimmy Spencer ) we would travel to every race . A few years later Kevin Harvick became our neighbor , We both moved about the same time, that was 7 years ago. I continue to watch Nascar however it just doesn't excite me like it used to. I believe it to be difficult for most people to relate to the cars of today. I see so very little character in the cars , they all look the same now. And a select few Billionaires basically controlling the field. I believe that the car owners should only be allowed 1 (one) car. Then , the field would be more relatable to the average person and more competitive. Now Nascar is nothing but money !!!
