  1. Yea that happened one time after that my parents started counting them, there was 3 of us.
  2. Happy Easter to everyone. I'm going to have an Easter egg hunt. I'll hide them tonight after I get good and high and see if I can find them in the morning 🤪😅🤣 hopefully I remember to look.
  3. I'm one of them that has the tennis ball on a string, I got tired of bumping into my tool box (yea a little tight in my garage) and yes it's because I have no depth perception.
  4. Mark my dad had a 68 montego convertible and a 64 comet convertible would love to find one in his memory. He traded the 68 for a van and he wrecked the 64 one night when a tree jumped out in front of him. He walked home 3/4 of a mile with broken nose bloody face and got a neighbor to help him get it out. They ended up calling a tow truck and when police showed up every thing was under control he didn't ask any questions. It was a simpler time back then. But I loved both of them cars.
  5. A Friend of mine had a gran prix nice car, my brother in law had a 70 monte that's when I fell in love with them. Almost bought a 72 a bunch of years ago but I thought the guy wanted to much for it and I didn't trust him so I ended up with my 71 17 years ago, been working on it ever since. Didn't need full restoration but a lot of work but was a driver when I bought it and been driving it every summer since then. It's a driver not a show car although it shows well for what it is.
  6. I'm not even gonna try, I've had to many to even think about. Just quick thinking I've had around 25 cars and trucks over the years not including a couple company trucks that had about 200 k on them when they got turned back in.
  7. Tracey, that's quite a collection of cars you have there. You should think about full membership and join up in Carlisle in June. Hopefully you like what you see here.
  8. Oh we're supposed to contribute some thing that's useful? Oh crap I'm not very useful I thought it's all fun and games 🤣
  9. They do look much better for sure. I guess the only way to know for sure is cut the old section out and see how they actually look.
  10. Does he have the old ones to compare them to? Anything is possible I guess. I put bucket seats from a corvair in my 64 impala wagon worked well had room between them to lay down use back seat for headrest. I won't tell you what that was useful for 😅😉
  11. They had a news conference this morning with some new information as well as the old. Dave Kindig and Kevin dog will be there all 3 days and will be bringing a couple cars that they built. Also the county kicked In some cash and they will increase advertising to make show even bigger and better. They are trying to make this show the biggest and best in the country over the next few years. Also the midway tent will be back up this year for bands in the evening. So no really new and huge information but only 110 days until the show. Also announced that over 80 thousand dollars was raised for local charity's and something like 10 million went into local economy so that's something. Gonna be a good time for sure.
  12. Mine was still original carpet I belive and it was loop type. I'm thinking 80-20 loop
  13. If it's not a Monte Carlo at a Monte Carlo meet then it's a foreign car 🤣
  14. Yes I've used them for years in chevys, the older ones that is. For me they lasted longer than ac delco stuff.
  15. I agree 100 % I'd never drive that far just to go to a show, it's all about the people, the fun we have and the bench racing. My car is not an award winner and I don't care it's all about the fun, the people and have made some great friends along the way.
  16. There's a lot of good ones out there I have accel on mine and accel coil too.
  17. We have a couple guys with dart motors one is a 427 sb the other is a 434 sb both very nice.
  18. If anyone needs Brad Penn oil they usually have a booth at the Syracuse nationals and will deliver to your car. Only sell cases I believe.
  19. I think he was hooked already that's why he joined 🤣
  20. I worked at an Olds dealer after GM school in the early 70s when they changed the body style of the cutlass in 73 I did like the new style but I've always liked the cutlass line.
  21. I'd love 46, it was 19 here this morning and going all the way up to 30 something today but supposed to warm up a little more as the week goes on.
  22. Get used to that my friend, the older you get the more Dr's you have to see. Since I retired it's seems like I have at least one or two dr appointments every week and a handful of pills to take a day.
  23. Rob or Joe maybe you could move this over to members only section.
  24. Just talked to my brother again ender up with 19 inches but he got his snowblower fixed at least. He had to build a piece on his lathe to do it but got it done. Nice having a machine shop in your garage and the knowhow to use it.
