  1. Thanks for the responses everyone. I don't have an issue using it, but then it wouldn't match the other side. I've thought about fabricating a part to weld to the new fender to match the other side.... I have a Glasstek 4 inch fiberglass hood, so the rubber bumpers are an issue-except I would know they didn't match.
  2. Thanks Canuck. I already put in a new patch on my old fender, but a nice new NOS fender sure would have been nice. Anyone wanna trade a 1971-1972 NOS fender for a 1970 NOS fender?
  3. Hey gang, I bought an NOS fender off Ebay. It was listed as a 1970 fender, but it isn't. What would it take to make it fit or is it worth it? It's currently in the box, but as far as I can tell right now, the front mounting area is shaped differently where it mounts to the radiator support. Thanks.
  4. BTW, mine runs blindingly rich too. It has been in storage for a year, so alot of the specifics of mine have been forgotten-as far as issue specifics. I am swapping out steering columns for a tilt. I installed a Hurst shifter and removed the stock column shifter and the shift colar flops around. It may not make sense the way I explain it, but I think I am getting issues from my column. ALSO, I drove mine for a year or two before my issues showed up, so I am not sure you are having converter issues.
  5. I have the same issues with my Stage 3 from BTO. I am running a 2200 converter and a relatively small cam. I also have EZ EFI and got rid of the carbs, because I thought it was a carb issue. Same thing-no improvement. I believe I have an electrical issue. I also have full MSD ignition. I believe mine is a short somewhere.
  6. Anyone have any luck with reproduction inner fenders? A seller on ebay has a set and I dont want to waste my time if they are junk. Thanks.
  7. Here is mine with Flowmasters. They stop right in front of the rear axle.

    Overdrive

I have a Stage 3 200R4 from Bowtie Overdrives. I bought it almost 4 years ago for my Corvette. Well, I sold the Vette and decided to put it in my Monte when I put the stroker in. It sat in my garage for the last 3 1/2 years without being used. Well the line pressure bounces all over the place. They sent me a new valve body without question, but it took 2 months to get it. I called several times and each time, they told me they were about to ship it that day. They finally shipped it, but when I got it, it wasn't protected from all of the foam peanuts and the crap was all in the valve body. I spoke with the owner and you could tell he wasn't happy with the dude that sent it out. Another one of the employees got on the phone and you could tell he wasn't proud of that guy either. Anyway, they are sending me another trans-free of charge and I have to send this one back. Hopefully, it won't take 2 months again. I feel like they make a good product, but my luck was just that-my luck. I had concidered switching over to a manual, but I've driven this and feel pretty sure I will be happy with the new one they send. I'm not usually this optimistic with faulty parts, but if anyone was going to have one crap the bed, it was going to be me. I don't think you would be disappointed. Most of the guys over on Corvetteforum are pretty happy with them.
  9. Hey Bill, What size rim and backspacing are you using on the back?
  10. What would make a set of headers fit a 1972 Monte ,but not a 1970? I talked to Schoenfeld on the phone and they say that they do not make a header for the 1970-just the 1972 and up. Sounds goofy to me. Anyone?
  11. Stock heads? Do you know what the part number is for the headers you have?
  12. Hi gang, I have a set of Summit(Flowtech) ceramic coated headers for my 1970. The barely fit with the stock heads and now with the Pro Comp heads they do not fit at all. Can anyone point me in the right direction?-I'm desperate. The are straight plugs by the way. I have short plugs and the headers hit the plugs.
  13. Did you get the column shifter to work? If so, how? Thanks
