Is this 72 'W' code - Custom - still around?
Leghome replied to jft69z's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
no all SS Montes were 454 with the turbo 400 -
Went to sleep at 9:30 woke at 11:30 to pee and back to sleep before 12. Used to meet with three other couples for Supper on NYE and then to card playing until midnight. New Years Day we do nothing special. Tried to start the corned beef and cabbage thing but Glendia is not a big fan of corned beef.

I always wondered what the TS stood for. Woo hoo learneded something today
-
I havew uaed I have used R45TS in mine 72 SB 350 but they have been fouling badly the last year or two. Cylinders 2 and 7 have been especially bad. I put in some NGK UR4 6630’s late this past summer and they are fouling but not nearly as bad as the AC's. I pulled out the plug I could get to easily and all the AC's were fouled slightly but the NGK look really good so I will stick with the NGK's because now my O2 sensor for the Holley sniper is not getting fouled.

What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?
Leghome replied to Canuck's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
That is what Jamey suggested before they headed home. That something I have heard of but never have done. I have an adapter I can hook to my air hose and try and hear any air leaks. -

My son in-law came today and we finally did a compression check on y me 20 over 350 and all cylinders checked out within 5# of each other. Put a couple of squirts of ol on each cylinder and the compression only increased by 4#. I don’t know what the compression should but number two and number were fouled with oil although the NKG plugs were not nearly as bad as the AC Delco I took out a few months ago. So no to decide what our next step will be -
The push rod on my Erson cam were from a stock V6 GM engine if I remember correctly. They may not work with your cam lifter combo but here is my part number Part number 1921485 SBI New pushrod for select 1996-2014 GM cars and trucks

What gears. I have a 700r4 behind my 350 bored 20 over with a mild roller cam and lifters with 3:73’s and seems like a good combo. RPM’s are around 2,700 at just over 70 mph

Hopefully someone will give you a ride it is a long walk ROFLMAO -
Also they can put the same mixture in a rattle can if you like.. Rattle can typically has to be used within 24 hours after activation.. make sure you use a clear coat that is compatible with the brand, type, of paint.. Ron… We mix rattle cans at the paint store I work at and they last for at least a year is a base coat ready to spray format. The clear coat does take an activator and will only last a few hours before it sets up in your gun or mixing cup. We also have a paint that has to have a hardener added to it that does not require a clear coat and it only last a short while like the clear coat. I have some base coat here in my garage that was mixed then years ago and it is still a viable product.

I wish I had the money it would be here in Markletucky soon -
Great choice Roger. I have a brother Joe who lives just north of Sandwich off of Somonauk Rd. Last year we went to The Parts Place car show. The show was only about 25 minutes from house

I sent mine to brakeboosters.com and Steve Gregori did a fantastic job on it. I am thinking it cost me around $260 but that was several years ago. I had to pay shipping to them and they paid the return shipping. Their phone number is/was (559)930-2773. He may have retired as he said something about slowing down when I talked to him the last time

I did eat a very small slice of smoked turkey breast it wasn’t bad but t wasn’t good either. 1 hr and 15 minute drive there and back ready for some food but we only brought home pumpkin cake so that will do
-
We are going to our youngest on the west side of INDY for Smoked Turkey(not a fan of turkey would rather have fried bologna and sauerkraut). Glendia has made the sweet tater casserole and what else we is having I have no idea and don’t care
-
I would love to have fried bologna and sauerkraut but I think it will be smoked turkey at my youngest daughter’s place
-
I had two uncles who retired from the USAF as Staff Sgt’s
-
Your a good role model Steve I am proud of you
-
Don’t rub it in Mark we are a balmy 39.6 here in the heartland of Indiana lol

I highly recommend the roller cam and roller lifters. That is what I had put in mine on the rebuild 5 years ago and it is great. My builder said it increased the HP buy about 10% and helped with the MPG a little -
Me thinks its a firetjurd

I guess it could be a 70 or someone liked the Halo Top
