    My Custom project

Hmmm a legend in his own mind
  2. When I redid ole red’s interior several years ago I used Legendary for my interior Upoholstry and The Parts Place for all of the hardware. Went with the bolstered front seat Upoholstry and am I ever glad I did. Not quite original but I don’t care. So many things had been changed before I got the car it was cheaper to just go with the flow and make it my car not what someone else thought it should be
  3. I think it looks pretty good. I get tired of seeing rally's on every Monte but I am not a purest as My 72 tells everyone. I get a lot more complements on my car since I put the Ridler 675's on it than ever got with the Rally's

    Rodents

Bet they get a charge out of that NOT LOL
  5. I would also recommend removing the bumper. It makes it easier plus for painting the car you will not have to mask off the bumper
  6. Four 72’s at the Glass Festival Saturday. The Midnight Bronze is a one owner 402 car with limited options. The gray is highly modified. The white one I remember seeing ten years ago and what a transformation it has been thru. Then Ole Red from yours truly with extra signage
  7. I looked for three month ten years ago and found nothing. A member had some extra ones that are used on the end of the long molding so I just drilled four holes to attach mine
  8. Now don't go overboard with the praise he might get big headed o n us LOLLOL
  9. On my 72 I just used some old bicycle tubes cut into strips and then trimmed of the excess. Been on the car ten years with no problems

    Dennis ?

There are five of them I have seen them before very good entertainment
  11. My son in-law came up last Friday and we took ole red out for a spin and it ran just like it did coming back from Dayton last month like crap. Pulled into the garage and popped of the air filter and presto one of the injectors was not firing. Jamey happened to remember reading in his research last fall about the connectors on the Sniper injectors getting loose. took off the side of the Sniper and the was the connector of said injector hanging loose. Put small wire ties around all of the injectors connectors and it runs like a champ again. Idle is steady, IAC is right on target, AFR perfect and response is tremendous. Number 7 plug was also fouled and so we changed to a NKG plug but I think I need a little hotter plug to see if I can keep it from fouling. Had AC Delco R45TS and can not find a R46TS as the are discontinued. The heat range on the 45 is 4 and looking for either a 5 or 6 heat range plug to try and compensate for the fouling as a temporary fix.
  12. Along with the 70 bumper on a 72 for fog/driving lights. I had thought about doing that to my 72 but could not justify spending the money
  13. None can not stay awake long enough to watch a movie to the end
  14. I would go with Cooper Cobras instead of the BFG’s unless they have fixed the browning of the white lettering. A couple of years ago it was really bad, several members got another set replaced by the installer but the also browned out
  15. Ahh the good ole 3MMM 8578 we sell a lot of that at the paint store
  16. I replaced my whole system, tank, fuel lines, pump and sending unit when I installed the new tank for my EFI. I had thought of using the tank that was in the car but its condition was unknown to me. If you are using this system with a carburetor would you need a pressure regulator 58# seems like a lot of fuel. I know my Sniper needs 58# to operate correctly.
  17. Took ole Red out for a cruise and made a couple of stops on the way home
  18. I agree with you on the spouse part sometimes I have a hard time explaining a new bottle of wax. I really had some splaining to do for the Sniper EFI
  19. The one in my 2013 GMC is the original one. Had it tested last year at the dealership and was told it is good. I’ve had my 72 for 10 years and am on my fourth one now
  20. My 70 was built in Van Nuys. I ordered 9\20\69 and shortly there after Flint went on strike and 10 weeks after placing my order it arrived with a bent drip rail molding and a Chevelle steering wheel center. Took the dealership almost a year to get the correct center and order the drip rail molding. The Parts department at that dealers ship left a lot to be desired. It only took a week to get the correct parts after I went in and complained and I was told the previous parts guy never ordered them
  21. I have been using a synthetic clay bar on my DA buffer. Works great but stay off the edges, voice of experience. Griot's has them and a friend picked up some off of Amazon. Here is a photo of before and after, he also had it detailed The car had set in a body shop for 20 years under a plastic tarp. The
  22. After going back and paying close attention, something I rarely do I use my present chrome and slide those into the slot
