  4. Took the Monte around the block yesterday. It was awesome! Handled great, stops great, sound is good, but not break your ear drums.

  8. A few suspension and engine pics!
  9. Thanks! The color is Misty Turquoise. It's a factory 1970 color. My goal is for it to resemble stock, but act more modern. I'll be daily driving the car.
  10. Well, here it goes. My 1970 project. Car was bought by my Grandfather. Building a 383, roller valve train. Savitske suspension, wilwood disc at all 4 corners.... When's it's done, she will be my daily driver. I'll add pics as we go. Thanks to Mikey at Driven Speed Shop here in AZ!

  13. Hi all, I removed the rear glass on my 70 to repair some rust. I am curious on what adhesive to use when I reinstall it? Butyl tape, adhesive from a tube? Also, any tricks on how to make sure I don't have any leaks would be appreciated. Lastly, I'll be using molding clip screws to replace the factory rivets which held the original molding clips. Any hints with that? Thanks!
  14. I was wondering, will an 8" Chevy Rally trim ring fit a 7" Rally Wheel?
  15. As usual you guys are awesome! I appreciate the help.
  16. Can anyone take a guess at the rally width and tire sizes on this monte? It's the exact way I want my wheel and tire combo to look. I am guessing that the rear is an 8" rally and the front is 7". Thanks!
  17. My 70 Monte sat in the Bay Area for 11 years in my parents drive way. When the car was a daily driver 11 years ago the A/C worked perfect. Now, the compressor spins but the system has no cold air at all. I was wondering if you all could give me advice on where to start? I have heard that the compressor gasket can go bad when he system is not used for long periods of time. Is that where I should start? Brian
  18. Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can find a qtr, or patches that are manageable.
  19. Hi all, i am in need of advice/help. My friend and I are restoring my 1970 Monte. The car sat at a decline for 11 years in the Bay Area and has rust behind the rear side marker lights and in the normal spot in front of the rear tire. The driver side quarter can be saved but the passenger side is done for. I am looking for a replacement patch or a full quarter. I would rather not buy an aftermarket one due to the use of poor metal from overseas. Any advice? Thanks, Brian P.S. I will try to post a pic when I figure out how.
  20. I need some advise. My friend and I restoring my 1970 Monte Carlo. The front and rear bumpers are very straight but need to be re chromed. Do you all suggest I re chrome the originals (at $390 a piece) or buy new reproductions for a lower cost? Thanks in advance, Brian
  21. Hi all, I am restoring my grandfather's 1970 Monte Carlo. I have been able to remove the window trim molding successfully. I need to move on to the rain drip molding and lower body molding. What's the best way to remove these without damaging them. Thanks!!!!
