  1. I HAVE A dual intake setup with two 500cfm carbs for a big block 502 with a custom cam. will this setup kill my low end torque and high end horsepower? i was told that to much air will kill some of the torque. its 1000cfm's
  2. Naw im using edelbrock e street heads. 290 intake 110 cc 118 exhaust. and my camshaft lift is 556/542 intake /exhaust duration 254/271. will my compression be 9.7? and what rear gears should i run?

  4. Can you send me a link for head gaskets I should use with my 502 to prevent water leaks. I'm looking at fel-pro but I like cometics and their custom gaskets a friend of mines told me that head gaskets play a role in engine compression the smaller the thickness the higher the compression and the thicker it is the lower the compression. I know 502 came with one piston design and with my 110 cc heads the compression will be around 9.7.1 but with the gasket being .25 thick the compression should be around 10.1 or higher like 10.7.1 so ill still be able to run unleaded gas. Can you help me with wat arp kit I should use send me links they'll be so much appreciated part number s will be heaven sent...........thanks

I have a question my fellow brothas i have a gen 5 502 block stamped 8.2l 502 i called an asked for a oil pan gasket but the tech guy said it was a 454 bored over to a 502 gm did not instal them in everyday vehicles. But from my own research 502 big blocks were not installed in every day vehicles but gm was using them in the 80's and 90's fleet vehicles and army transports. Can anyone confirm this or lend their expertise?

  11. street with a little strip use. But mostly street i kno these trans were put behind ls6 454 bbc and they hhave 450 hp and 500 ilbs of torgue so a little modifications should do the trick thanks

  14. im building it for atleast 502hp but i think its gonna make awhole lot more torque is somewhere around 530ft pt. i just dnt want it to be dehydrated from lack of gas im sure the stock tank is enough i seen 454s with more hp run with stock gas tanks. p.s. can 454 heads fit on a 502 bbc i know the 502 needs more airflow no less then 305cc. yes it has a return line both are 5/16th.

  17. im building a 502 bbc and im replacing the stock 5/16 th lines to better 3/8 th. i kno i need a better sending unit everything else is a mystery to me can my fellow brothers help me?
