New power steering gear box, new oil pan to stop slow oil leak, new radiator and upper/lower hoses, painted exhaust manifolds, replaced all worm clamps with tower clamps, transmission service and oil change. All this to put the car away for the winter, but ready to go in the spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doing well. A true miracle. Was told she would never walk again and has been back to work full time, driving the car and back to some normalcy. Her walk is a little mechanical and uses a cane when she goes out. We started leaving the cane home this last week. We still think she will get better, but 4 months was a nightmare. Wheel chairs, walkers , arm canes, shower stool all in a closet! I'm glad she enjoyed the trip!

Pulled mine out in the driveway to breath some fresh air. Hoping for some rain to wash the salt of the roads. Just purchased 3:73 gears to replace 2:73.

Ordered new lower body and rockers moldings. Plus, 3:73 gears to replace the 2:73 gears. Just need some warm weather in Chicago. All I can do is start her and smell the fumes.

We have negative temperatures outside Chicago again. I ran mine for a while, smelled the gasoline and then covered her back up!

CKZ03 - The trunk carpet came today and is nice quality. It's a lot better than the herringbone mats. It is as big as the picture in the blue chevelle. It runs up the hump in the trunk and all the way to the back of the rear seat. The only part of the trunk it does not cover is the raised part that's parallel with the bumper on both sides of the trunk latch. I will need to cut a hole for the bolt that goes through the spare and a "L" shaped slit for the end of the jack stand support. It was dark outside when I put it in the trunk. I will send a picture in the next couple of days.

CKZ03 - After two days of following up on my order I finally was able to talk to a live person. Supposedly my trunk carpet is shipping Monday. I will let you know the quality when I receive it. Thanks!

Troy. I also have the vinyl mat with felt backing. I bought it from OPGI. The picture of the trunk carpet looks similar to the floor mats I bought for the car. I don't know what was originally in the car, but I like the look of the carpet. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed.

CK I just clicked the link in your post and ordered it. I don't have a ship date, but hopefully soon. I will be calling them on Monday to follow up. I may not be successful based on your experience.

Thanks for the post CKZ03. I just ordered the trunk carpet. If it's the size that's shown in the trunk of the blue Chevelle, that would be great. I originally ordered two herringbone mats. One I put in the floor of the trunk and the other one I cut in pieces for under the rear speakers and along the trunk that's parrallel with the bumper. Looking forward to the carpet!

Took the chrome trim pieces under the head light bezels to be rechromed. They have a few pits in them. I don't know why I didn't have them rechromed with the head light bezels and grill last year. Oh Well..outside Chicago in January...anything Monte related is a good thing, since she can't hit the street!

Gronlit & gprimm - I live in Huntley, so 1 hour south of Gronlit and 1 hour north of gprimm. I am familiar with Bolingbrook. I went to Lewis Univ in Romeoville. ssmonte70 let me know that you guys were somewhat local. I purchased ssmonte70's '70 402 back in April. I would be all in to meet up with you guys next year. ssmonte70 and I met up last month to see the progress on ours cars.
