  1. I ended up going with VLED's for the led lights. They seemed to have good reviews and good prices. The lights came in and they look good. I went with the metallic silver face gauges from whitegauges.net. I sprayed the inside of the cluster with white Krylon Fusion paint in order to better reflect the red LED's. Now that it is all done and put back together I am ready to install the lights. How do I bench test my cluster? I heard with a 9V battery but I'm not sure how to do that. I looked for a how-to with no luck. Thanks in advance.
  2. Has anyone here ordered from superbrightled's? The reviews of their LED's and customer service were not great. Since it is such a pain to get to all of the lights I'm replacing, I don't want them to die after a few months.
  3. Black 07ss, I will take pictures and post them once I'm done installing. I am going to do the red LED's and I plan on using 2 green bulbs for the blinkers. I have the cluster completely out right now, my clock is dead and I am going to be buying and installing a tach where the clock was. This is the back of my cluster. I only have idiot lights (because its a 70 there are no small gauges) I have 2 extra bulbs here, 2 194 style and 2 BA9 style. (left side) What I mean- 194 style BA9 Style- Also, is this circuit board damaged on the part under the tab? I was going to replace it just to be sure, you can see its wrinkled a bit. It was working fine when I took it out but man that was a tight squeeze.
  4. Have a question that I didn't see on any of the other threads. I feel like I have extra bulbs if you guys are only replacing 10. I have 8 BA9 style bulbs, has anyone replaced these single post style bulbs with an LED bulb? If I count correctly I will need 10 194 style bulbs and 8 BA9 style bulbs, plus 2 more BA9 style bulbs for my console lights under my shifter. (will the bulbs work in the console?) The car is a 1970. Does anyone have a pic of the back side of their cluster? Thanks a lot
