  1. Regarding trailer parking, Royce has found a Toyota Dealership 5 blocks away that is secure (gated) and we could use that for a small fee. He's technically not asking for anything but may want a few $$$. My guess is that you would not be able to access the trailers outside their business hours. Royce will be getting more details on this but does this sound OK?
  2. Wow Dave, thanks for bringing all the door prizes...
  3. Art and Rena can't make it this year. I know what you mean though... very nice people.
  4. Here is who I have on my confirmed list: Roy Bunjes Vaughn Peoples Pat Trottier Jake Gould Rodney Shure Royce Tollman Chris Stiener Mark Andrus David & Patricia Nassimbene Keith Golanowski Chris Davis Dave Mau Tim Oest Doug Cameron Aaron Dodsworth Jack Young Dan Goehring Cameron Lewis Garrett Kuipers Luke Sink There are some others who I have heard from recently who are very likely to make it but not 100% yet. There are also several who posted a while ago saying they will be coming but don't appear to have booked a room. If there is anyone who has not yet informed me they are coming to the meet, please send me a PM or email.
  5. The FGMCC will provide some water and pop throughout the weekend. Royce and I will each bring a big cooler but it would be nice to have more large coolers to keep this stuff cold for the group on car show day. If you can fit one in your trailer, it may come in handy during the weekend.
  6. Thanks Royce! We could put the trailers in tight at one end of the lot. The trucks/tow vehicles can park on the street next to the hotel. Good Job!
  7. This has nothing to do with the V12 but it does add to Dave's post. Dave and I met a retired GM interior designer at a rest area coming back from the 2004 Western Meet. I had my Monte there and he was taking a really good look at it. He explained to us about being on the interior design team for the 70 Monte and one of his designs he submitted was to make it a 4 seater where the console goes from the dash all the way back into the back seat.
  8. Thanks for taking the time to do that Dave. The lot where they do the tech is only a couple blocks from the hotel. This is the same lot I was hoping the club could park trailers. Royce is working on the trailer parking.
  9. LOL, John just got back to me this morning with that contact info. I won't be able to call him until Friday (day off) so if someone wants to get the info earlier please feel free to call him and post the info here.
  10. For those who have not attended a meet or maybe even a car show before, here are some tips: Things to bring: - Bring chairs. Yes, some people forget these. - A small cooler is recommended for refreshments of your choice. - Bring an EZup canopy if you have one. Shade for the group on car show day will come in handy. - Bring some car cleaning stuff. I have a small box of glass cleaner, tire shine, duster, rags, paper towell, etc). Towels come in handy too if you need to dry your car off at any point. For those driving long distance, I recommend having spare hoses and belts in the trunk. It can sometimes make an otherwise time consuming fix into a quick job. I also bring water, oil and tranny fluid just in case. Don't forget the tools also. Although some may like getting awards, you do not want the hard luck award. Get some sleep before the weekend. There is no requirement to stay up late but it happens when you get all the Monte nuts together. We just chat for hours.
  11. I will get in touch with the people in charge of the drag racing and get back to you with some info.
  12. REMINDER: Only 9 days left (July 29th) to secure a room at The Dalles Inn. After that, they release the rooms to the public.
  13. My 70 is the stock small block setup with a non-clutch fan. Going by memory, a little more than half of the blade is in the shroud.
  14. I'm still looking into this.
  15. There's a pub right next door to the hotel. There is also a restaurant called "Burgerville" across the street.
  16. We may end up doing it again next year. That will all depend on the timing and location of the 2011 Western Meet and any other mini-meets planned.
  17. Dave... quit taking all the credit. LOL
  18. Good idea. There is probably plenty of choices in the Tacoma Mall area.
  19. Great Jack! No special parking. The lot at the hotel is not huge so it might be hard to set aside a specific area. I will discuss it with them once I know roughly how many will be parking at the hotel.
