So is it safe to assume that the bucket rumble seat and the anti trunk release mechanism will not be re-installed.. cool idea though.. rumble buckets for when you take a poker run, or cruise at a car show.. smile and wave boys, smile and wave.. :insert parade wave: ......

WOW, I am shock that the smiley didn't work.. :-) grin

Got all the hardware ready to send out to put on a fresh coat of black oxide. I would rather reuse the original hardware and it's in really good condition.

That's a good idea because a lot of the hardware kits you buy are incomplete in many ways and have hardware you can't use

Do you have an idea what it will cost to have the hardware refinished?

In your pic, I see the little bracket that was bolted to the engine mount-to-frame bolts on the passenger side. Mine is broken. Do you know where I can get one? It's for the positive battery cable, isn't it?

I was quoted $85 for 10lbs but once I gathered everything up it was 20lbs so I figure with shipping it will be $200.

The bracket is for the battery cable. I have one that is similar on a '70 chassis. If it's any good I will send it to you. I will check it when I get home tonight.

Dan- just sent you a pm.

The hardware showed up from the plater. It appears none was lost and for the most part look like new. Almost time to reassemble the chassis.

I also decided to go with hotchkis 2" lowering springs all the way around. Came across a new set that was an open box for less than 1/2 price so couldn't pass them up.

I wish I could report more progress but it's been dormant over the winter. Hope to be making some progress reassembling the chassis in the upcoming weeks.

The rear shocks are like a battleship gray. I believe the fronts are too.

Back on the chassis and finally had the rest of the suspension parts blasted and put a couple coats of pot-15 on. Tomorrow I will shoot the chassis black top coats. Hopefully the frame will come off the lift and be rolling on its owne by next weekend.
