Dtret
The shop is one thing. But if the cars are his too, I need better friends.
Dtret
I do however see an issue. No tools, no toolboxes. No compressors, no torches. So it’s a storage facility, and a very nice one at that, and not a workshop. I guess that’ would be one way to keep me from throwing tools when I’m upset. lol.

You’re right, it’s primarily for storage.

Michael Boyte
Do you know by chance, what the building was in it's previous life ? It appears to have a lot of history, quite possibly automotive !

Glen
The weather here today was perfect: 75°, sunny and no humidity. Took both cars out for a drive. Didn’t stop anywhere remotely scenic with the ‘70, but stopped near a running and biking trail in a forest preserve on the route I drove the ‘71. It wasn’t until I got home and looked at the pictures that I noticed there’s already leaves on the ground🥺. A grim reminder that it’ll soon be time to put the girls up…
Montemedic
Don’t rush the seasons. Enjoy what good weather we have left. With all the dry weather and drought conditions in some areas, the trees are stressed and are dropping leaves prematurely. Glad to see you got out and enjoyed your Monte’s !!! Scott S.
Hey Bob, Personally, I like the results of switching to the 200R4 transmission. It's pretty much a bolt in, and the overdrive works great on the highway. Just make sure you get it rebuilt one that's had all the heavy duty internals installed. Scott. Leghome
not really on my Monte but related to one of my displays at the show fields. I have a 1:25th scale model that the drivers side front wheel broke off of. I went to Hobby Lobby to get some model glue and was shocked at the price of it now a days. $2.69 and I can remember when it was $.29 and maybe $.49 but never in my dreams did I think it would be that much. Oh well it is now repaired and ready for the next show.

Blue 72
Been working on the weekends. I had a fuel filter on the car since 02, back when I didn't make so many decisions on the car, nor knew as much. Filters on the pressure side of the pump are bad, especially plastic ones that can fail over time, or weak glass, as they can break. Either way, you get a 6psi fuel leak. I cut mine open and found nothing, see below. I have a repro steel line going in, and will run on the Q jet filter and sock. I may put one in on the suction side later. Painted a water pump, and touched up rails on the NOS radiator. Pulled valve covers, decently clean for 50 years. Mounted the water pump, then went after accessories. Finished up with the fan and alt belt tensioning.

I have the original stick, just needs rewiring. It works, it engages about 1mph higher than you're going when you set it.

Oh wait I don't have a housekeeper that was me 🤣 so today I'm cleaning the house. Got a lot done today the weather is supposed to get better starting tomorrow. 1

Canuck
I installed a cushion rim sport wheel on my 1970 Monte Carlo. I always wanted one of these sport wheels in my car. The Montes only had black sport wheels from the factory but I found the same style in a tan colour that is from a Buick.

sbarnette
Changed the oil in the 71 today and put a few miles on her. Planning to attend a Cars and Coffee about an hour away tomorrow in the town where I grew up. Planning to drive the 70, so I got her cleaned up for the trip.
