72 Monte Carlo Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Looks great Aaron! Unfortunately, I haven't touched my Monte for a few weeks now as I've been busy working on family members and a few friend's vehicles. I did however get two rolls of Frost King silver duct insulation for the ceiling and floor for my Monte so I can get that installed, and then the headliner insulation and new headliner. 5 Quote
Rob Peters Posted January 13 Posted January 13 You do good work Aaron, it really looks amazing. Now you won't want to to sell it. rob 3 2 Quote
Whons Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The last mild day we had I started my Monte and let it get up to operating temp. I do that periodically thru the winter. I also put my club member license plate on it. 14 Quote
McCall72 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Took off the Blueprint valve covers and air cleaner and added a dual snorkel air cleaner and finned aluminum valve covers to my Blueprint 350. Quote

I been thinking about storing on a similar lift so I have the garage floor space in the winter? Thank you, Brad I'm 6'1 and I can stand fully under the car with room to spare on its highest setting. He happened to have a pair of 1971 valve covers so I traded him my 1969 valve covers for them. Quote
Marks71 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 In my opinion, those are the best looking valve covers out there. They were factory stock on 69-70 Z/28s. Seen them on the Corvettes of the same years. They’re still available through NPD, Rick’s First Generation Camaro and others. A bit pricey. Around $400/pr. 1 Quote
Dtret Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I have a couple different sets. One takes the long bolts. I’ll sell for less than 400. Not perfect but can be cleaned up and be nice. 1 Quote
Marks71 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The only thing I don’t see is where to put the oil. Also no breather holes. It seems that 68 was the last time I’ve seen the oil fill at the front of the intake manifold. Quote

I didn’t want holes or I would have had to deal with bird’s nests. lol. 😝 5 Quote
