mbeigh
I am a little embarrassed to ask this, but I want as much info as I can get before I try. My front ash tray hangs open from gravity. I assume it needs springs, so I bought a pair of the little things. Will I have to remove or get up under the dash to replace these springs or is there an easier way? Thanks
Sam (Bones)
is it a '70? the springs on a '70 ash tray are a bugger! there are 4 screws that hold the whole assembly in, 2 inside the ash tray and 2 back farther thru the dash
mbeigh
Yeah it is. The two thru the dash, are they from the behind the dash? I suspected from looking at it that it would be difficult. Have had the springs for almost two years.
Jared Richey
I use a magnet to hold mine up, can't even hardly tell if you don't know it.

MI_Custumz
I use a magnet to hold mine up, can't even hardly tell if you don't know it. Do you have pics of the magnet set up? Mine has the same issue and was a pain to get the spring back on, almost had it and then it sprung out on me. Gave up on it.
