The 2020 Western Meet will be returning to Montana for the Rumble in the Bay. Bigfork is located next to Flathead Lake and offers some great scenery in the area. We expect a great turnout of members from all over the Western US and Canada. The event we are attending has a car show, cruises, poker run, live entertainment, and more. The event will also have special recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Monte Carlo so come celebrate with the FGMCC. We will update the web site and message board periodically as information comes available. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this meet, please contact me.

Weekend Schedule
Friday:
Scenic cruise

Saturday:
Poker run and cruise around Flathead Lake
Live entertainment

Sunday:

And of course, every night is a party at the Motel!

Hotel info
Email me at dodsyaaron@gmail.com or send me a private message for hotel booking information.

We will have activities from Friday morning (September 4th) through Sunday night (September 6th). You can decide on how much of the weekend to participate in. Most members will arrive by Thursday evening and leave on Monday morning but some members will come for a shorter visit. Club members must inform me if you are planning on attending the meet. This will be important for planning the activities for the weekend. You must be a dues paying FGMCC member to participate in the meet activities.

Although it is very early there appears to be a fair amount of interest in this meet. I'm anticipating over 20 cars attending from as far as Arizona.

Aaron my girlfriend and I are planning a cross country trip for next year, its very early in the planning but its possible we may be somewhere within a few hundred miles from there. If the timing is right you just may see us there for a day. I'll let you know as get farther into the planning. I will make a western meet some day maybe next year, but we wont have the monte.

That would be fantastic. Let me know as the date approaches if you can make it.

A few of us decided to preview this event this year to prepare for next year. Although we didn’t really spread the word about this unofficial gathering we had 11 members here. Hotel, cruise and event are all fantastic and I’m really looking forward to the 2020 meet!

We worked out a lot of details while attending the event this past weekend. The event has made the Monte Carlo the feature car for their 2020 event and will provide us with a special parking area to line up as a group. Other generations of Monte Carlos will also be able to park near our Montes. The hotel is perfect for our club with outdoor pool, hot tub, nice sitting area and walking distance to the car show on Sunday. The hotel contract is done and have blocked off an entire building of the hotel (29 rooms). Some of us who were there on the weekend already booked for next year. I will post the details soon regarding how to book your room and I hope we can fill them all.

10 months...

At this time I am still working through some details regarding the hotel contract but I will post details once I have the contract nailed down.

On another note, if you wish to extend your stay beyond the meet I highly recommend Glacier National Park which is an easy drive from Bigfork. It is an amazing sight to see.

Sadly I have to say I will not be making it to this event. It looks like the trip will have to be earlier than originally planed due to my girls work. But theres always next year possibly depending on when and where. I'll make one some day.

Sorry to hear that the timing did not work out. Sounds like it will still be a fun road trip :)

Yes it should be, now I have the new truck we're talking about taking the camper and camping our way across country.
