Pics from drag strip!

Here are some pics i found that they take at the local dragstrip, i would buy one but none of the are really good shots...... anyhow proof the thing runs with the turbo!

 

My trip out last week i ran a 11.53@111, second pass was 11.57@119 i was easy on the first 330 then tried to get a mph pass in but still was out of it early. The thing runs out of gear now, On the old setup the best mph was 102 hahah. I am having to hit overdrive the 4.11's and converter slip.... needless to say there is more mph left in her. The last run i ran her a little harder mostly launched just a little harder and ran a 11.02@113 still off the pedal obviously by the mph. The bad part is i have no cage in the car, no driveshaft loop(in the garage waiting fab work) stock shortened driveshaft and stock 12bolt axles................. Oh well winter is coming quickly and i dont know that i will even make it back out. I was wanting to get her down the the no cage limit of 11.50 but i guess i set my expectations way low..... I would imagine it could run a 10.5x or so with the driveline straightened out so i could bring it off the line. Enjoy!

Cool pic's!!!! Yea once ya get everything dialed in you should be mid 10's for sure. I'm suprised the tech guys didn't go nuts with your 11.0. LOL. Did ya get the lecture?? Congrats on your new best!!

That is AWESOME!!!! Congrats on those great times! Be careful with no safety loop though, u-joints are usually the first to go! Also, you better stick in some good axles if you haven't!

I got a digital camcorder so hopefully soon i can get a video of it. Im not going to intercool it because there is no need to right now. That and when i go over to E85 in the spring it will be the same as intercooled due to the cooling effect of the ethanol. I really dont want to put a cage in the car! However i am slowly starting to realize that it should have one. My frame really isnt as nice as i would like for it to be so if i were to put the cage in it it would be captured to the body and more or less permenant then.............. This winter i will be redoing the rear axle and getting a new driveshaft. Only thing the engine setup really needs at this point is a digital ignition advance setup that retards with boost. I am running the dist. locked out at 23* As far as more power, in the future all i should have to do is change out the wastegate spring and i could most likely build enough power to break the block!
