Its probably been posted several times , but would a conversion from one to the other be basically bolt

on regarding driveshaft length cross member position ? could I use the same flex plate?

I know I would need a tvs cable bracket at the carb ,  and how about the gear indicator position on the  dash ?

and shifter   (column shift ) have an 86 SS and took it off the computer to control the lockup with a vacuum switch

with separate  switch to lockup up when it shifts in to 4th gear how would it work with a 2:73 gear my 86 is 3:73

Yes, it is a direct fit. I have the 200r4 in mine, and you just need the new detent plate (shiftworks or a forum member has them) and cable. If have a console the proper plate is available, but I cannot speak for the column shift indicators. Driveshaft is the same length too.
