McCall72
Hi all - given that most modern alternators have internal regulators now what do you do with the external voltage regulators our cars came with? Bypass? Unhook? Leave connected?
MC1of80
Bypass. There are a few kits to do just that.
Leghome
You can make your own by connecting the outer terminals and the inner terminals together with jumpers. This is what I did and then tucked the regulator connector up under the fender. If anyone wants to go back to a regulator the wiring is there to do so. Larry, Are you supposed to jumper the two outside terminals together, and the inner two terminals together to bypass the factory regulator setup? Leghome
That is what I did and it is working fine.
