DragCat
TH400 trans, the green plug in the picture drivers side. It has one red or orange connection that comes from the harness in the engine compartment along with a black (ground) wire.
jft69z
Think it's for the kickdown switch.
1970mcss
I agree, I don't remember mine being green, I think the boot that covers the wires might be missing
DragCat
Thanks guys, it looked sketchy to me so wanted to order a replacement since i'm pulling and rebuilding the trans. Also the wires seemed to be super crimped at the block below the retaining bolt where it splits off from what i'm assuming is the oil pressure sender/plug. 1970mcss
I found a picture of my car, looks like a black seal or boot covers the switch

1970mcss
I removed the other plug, the harnesses come with the extra plug for a manual transmission. The prior owner left it on
DragCat
Thanks Paul, good to know I'll order a replacement. TPP didn't have a new wire harness so i'm probably going to splice in new below the oil sensor plug.

DragCat
I verified there was only 1 terminal post on my old plug. both TPP and OPGI say its supposed to be a 2 post so I ordered a new one from TPP.
