Son's first Monte

Recommended Posts

Thanks Willie! The wheels on the convertible are the weld wheels that were "in stock" that my son has powder coated, and used the hubcaps adapters with the Pontiac hubcaps that were also "in stock". Lol to give the convertible a "stock" looking wheel. Those are also 15x10 with a 5.5 backspacing.

Hello all. A quick update..... Finally got a chance to install a 650 dp holley style from pro-form onto my son's Monte Carlo. He's been working on his GTO convertible.

Removed the 750 dp and installed the pro-form 650dp. Have to say, looks like a good piece. Right out of the box it's adjustments we're about spot on. Impressive!

He road tested the Monte and came back all smiles! My brother and I told him he would be with the 650. Not that the 750 wasn't fun. It was just lacking in the lower end and throttle response.

I would recommend the pro-form 650dp!

Have a video of the road test but won't upload. 😡

Hello all!

So, today we took the quarantine built with in stock parts Monte Carlo to the track. Atco, NJ to be exact. To see what she'll do.

Had a good day. Found out we have a fuel problem at the top end, sprung a leak in the brake line from the proportioning valve to the rear but other than that, a good day.

Best time was a 13.20@103
