Doug Mitchell
I have a 70 Monte withe a big block 402 - 4spd, how can I eliminate rear wheel hop?
MC1of80
First you need to access the suspension you have. Sway bar, New bushings, Boxed upper and lower control arms, new shocks if yours are old, if car is high in the butt, lower it, no hop bars and slapper bars. And what works best.... More power! Lol if the tire just melts it can't hop. Lol My son's 69 GTO convertible that we just installed an m-22 in is experiencing wheel hop also. Only his has boxed control arms and sway bar (Hotchkiss) and new shocks. We will be installing slapper bars (that we have in stock) onto it shortly. Doug Mitchell
I actually have replaced the bushing in the 4-link and the shocks are pretty new. Sounds like I may need to remove the 4-link and box them in as well as possibly add a sway bar.
MC1of80
That would be a good start. If nothing else,it will handle much better. 😁
