My 71 SS restoration project

Recommended Posts

So I called the Upolstry guy yesterday for an update on the seats. After 3 1/2 months the answer was “ I got them tore apart. I guess I’ll get to them next week “. I should have called him earlier for an update. Lol. I may be driving on milk crates. I’ll try to find some blue ones so they match. Ugh. In all fairness to him, I know he didn’t except the body and paint to be done that fast.

WOW! Looks amazing Dennis.

That vinyl top really pops!

What are those plastic things that go under the bumper on the back of the rear quarter panels?

This is what I put on. Metal/rubber coated

Zip tie them to the floor. When you do a burnout, they're going to flip back and you'll fall off. True story, lol

Again...🤪

Karen always said she’s going to wrap me in bubble wrap. Lol. I’ll be like the little dude on A Christmas Story. But I won’t shoot out my eye. 😝

Moving along very slowly. But it is coming along. Tomorrow is dash day. I need to get true power to the windows so I can adjust them. It was much more fun to tear it apart. Went faster too. Lol. The spring broke in the gas door. More money

Didn’t update last night so y’all get it now. I’m avoiding the dash like the plague. All the wiring is done. No holes left in the firewall except the steering column. A few connections to make in the engine compartment but they have to wait for wells to be installed. Putting in rear defrost and rear speakers now then I have no choice but to get the dash done. Ugh. It’s slow but somehow the room upstairs is depleting of parts. Lol.

Slow and steady. But I think you really have the Monte Madness, Sleeping with your fenders takes it to a whole new level. LOL

That’s funny. As much as I love them, I can’t get them to cuddle. Typical
