RH 70 72
Looking to replace the fuel sending unit on my 70. The two options I can find show the unit with 3/8" line with a 1/4' return, and then without the return. What is a way to tell without dropping the tank, if the return is needed or not? cny first gen 71
If you climb under car you should be able to see it. Pretty sure it sticks out far enough.
Dtret
Wouldn’t there be two lines going to the fuel pump if the was a return?
MC1of80
Like Dtret said, the fuel pump would have a return line. Also look at the tank facing the rear end and look for a second line. My 70 only has one 3/8 line, well it originally did. Still has only one but 1/2 now. I personally have not seen a 70 with more than one line here in the North East. Maybe a california Monte did. Dtret
I know my 71 Monte SS has two lines. So I looked at my 70 chevelle SS and it also has two lines. Both came out of Van Nuyes(?). One of these years I’ll learn how to spell that. Lol
