I'd say you won this time, lol. I just ordered another $4K+ in parts for the Camaro though today. Once the stuff starts coming in the next 4-12 weeks (yes, thanks covid...), it should be a pretty good pile of parts.

I would like to agree with you. But with what you are doing to the camaro 4 k is all big and cool stuff. Not all this nickel and dime crap that I have

That's in addition to the other roughly $5.5K+ plus I spent a couple of weeks ago on other parts. Still more to come after that too. The Monte was the guinee pig for the Camaro in regards to a lot of the mods.

Still, your project was certainly no small or inexpensive build. At least you're to the point the light is starting to be faintly seen at the end of the tunnel. That's a good position to be in. Pretty much all of the dirty, crap work is done and all the stuff is clean and ready to put the puzzle back together.

At least I'll be bypassing the dirty, crap work on the Z project for the most part, as it's still pretty clean from the initial build I did many years ago.

Lol, these parts are going to stay in the main shop. No sense in walking any farther than I have to when I need them.

More car porn, ARH stainless headers:

I recognized the box in the first pic, I remember those days. I did a double take on the first pic, damn Joe's new floor is getting dirty, but that's in the "old" shop not the storage building.

More parts arrived today. Strange axles, wheel studs, Dakota Digital gauges & EFI interface module. I still think axle bearings and seals are coming today. Yesterday I picked up parts from Denny's Driveshaft to get the rear diff crossed over to a larger U-Joint. I installed that stuff last night. At this point, the project is underway...

Daaangg that looks good. I may beat you on quantity but you definitely got me on quality and cost. Not that it wasn’t awesome before you started but that’s going to be sweet. It’s seems as though the project grew from the original plans. Too much time on the internet only costs more money. I think it’s time you log off and go walk the dogs more. Lol.

Lol, Thanks Dennis.

Nah, the parts list is pretty much on track from the original plan. I haven't added it up (I never do), but it's not cheap. Still waiting on the transmission and the associated parts from that vendor, plus some more EFI related stuff. The 2 dogs are out here with me, causing trouble at every opportunity 😁.

Glad you got the 2 helpers with you 😁 I try not to keep a tally on what I'm spending, I just break out in a cold sweat at the end of the month when I'm writing the checks. I did have to get a new higher limit credit card when I ordered the crate engine tho 😬

Hope you keep us posted, I enjoy watching your builds

I've never added up the receipts when I built my cars over the years. What's the point, lol.

It's not a Monte though, sort of the wrong place maybe to post Camaro builds?

No post it. We all at times put stuff on here that’s not Monte related.

Yea I know, it was a reach on the build updates. But you're very detail oriented and you're using a bunch of stuff some of us have used on our Monte's. those little hiccups and idiosyncrocy's are helpful. I'm just remembering the threads with spark plug sockets in the ARH thread 🤣 Oh well
