FrankOC
Today I removed the tired top due to it pulling back from the edge moldings. Found this at the driver side rear window corner. I suspect I need to pull the glass and weld in new metal? No other rust.
Dtret
If that’s all you found count your blessings. That’s awesome. I can’t give you an answer on your question though. Let the body boys chime in.

Jared Richey
Dang that sucks it started to pull back. The Car is painted so welding is impossible without destroying the paint. I'd clean well, treat it to kill rust, epoxy prime and then fiberglass re inforced filler and you will be good.
cny first gen 71
It's like the old commercial you can pay me now or you can pay me later. It will have to be done right eventually so may as well do it now. Maybe if you want to get through summer clean it up some and get some primer on it and do it right over the winter. That's just my opinion 🤷
Brew
Por 15 will kill the rust. But you’ll need prep work on it. Then paint. You can patch with sheet metal if you have a good body man. But like others have said, you can buy replacement metal to fit.
