Rare SS
I owned a 38,000 mile 1970 SS Monte from Texas. When I removed the rad, this tag fell off of the bottom! I'm so glad I heard the sound when it hit the floor! Otherwise it would have been swept up with all the other debris! WHAT IS THIS PIECE? This is my 3rd SS and have never seen this before. Dtret
Radiator. Clips on passenger side by battery. That’s all the codes to tell what type of radiator it is. Good piece to have.
willie
I agree with Dennis, goes on Rad, battery side. Not sure what the codes are or mean but i think i seen a section in one of the repo parts books on it.
Glen
The “BR” also appears in Box #46 “RADIATOR” on the build sheet for my ‘70 SS. Not sure what the “57” represents, though. I thought that maybe the “IA” and “XP” on the tag you found might’ve been the radiator hoses, but they don’t match the letters on my build sheet. Rare SS
Thank you for all the wisdom shared here! I now know what that part was, and never thought to look on my buildsheet. I am going to look for this on my current 70 SS and see if I can find it! Jeff 1970 SS454 Black

Rare SS
I still need to check my current SS to see if this tag is still on it Fingers crossed! Jeff 1970 SS454
NOS Z20
The IA and XB are the side tanks for the radiator they should be molded into the sides of the radiator as they would all be different 2 core - 3 core - 4 core - automatic or 4 speed would all have different sides that is what that tag is for. The BR on the tag is for the build code on the build sheet . This would only be for the original Harrison Radiators not replacement ones. Good luck Steve
