D N Monte
Hi everyone I'm trying to remove my original radio from the dash of my 1972 Monte Carlo can you help?
MC1of80
Take the knobs off, remove the nuts and washers on the shafts. Unbolt the bracket on the back of the radio, remove the wire connector and antenna wire and remove from dash.

Dtret
If it’s totally original you may have the slotted small nuts. It requires a special tool they say. But a needle nose should get it done.
Dtret
That’s what it looks like if you really need it.
454 Monte
I removed the front knobs and bolts. However, there is a bolt to the radio on the passenger side and then a bracket that goes up on the driver side into the dash. Which is the bracket/bolt to take out to pull it back?
