Rob Peters
We have had a number of new members join the club website and a number of new dues paying members of the club. This message goes out not only to them but to all members. Our Western and Eastern Meets are coming up very soon. It is not too late to make a decision to attend one of these meets. If it is room availability you are worried about please don't let that stop you from attending. If you have not considered attending one of these meets because your car is not ready, don't let that stop you either. Many people attend our meets without their Monte. Attending an Eastern or Western Meet is a wonderful way to get to meet a large number of our members all in the same place at the same time. If you are interested in attending the Eastern Meet in Carlisle PA please contact Rob Peters at rob29ford@aol.com and he can fill you in on everything you would need to know. If you would be interested in attending the Western Meet please contact Aaron Dodsworth at dodsyaaron@gmail.com for everything you would need to know. Attending an Eastern or Western Meet is an experience you will never forget. rob
Leghome
My first FGMCC meet was in 2012 and I have only missed one and that was due to by-pas surgery two weeks before the Eastern Meet. It is one of the hioghlights of my Monte year and have great friends thru the club and these Meets
sbarnette
Last year was my first meet. I was a little nervous not knowing exactly what to expect, and not knowing anyone. I felt welcomed immediately and made many new friends. Now with just 6 1/2 weeks until this year’s eastern meet I can’t wait. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making more new ones.
cny first gen 71
My first meet was 2010 Norwalk, I wasn't even on the boards yet (just a lurker) but joined the club in 2008 shortly after I got my monte. I didn't know a soul other than talking to Capri In messages asking questions. I felt welcome as soon as I pulled in the parking lot and have met many friends along the way. I can't wait for this year's meet to see old friends and still meet new ones. See you all in a few weeks!
Dtret
I went in to my first , 2021, not knowing a soul. Sure I talked to people on the phone and typing on the forum. But in person was a different animal. I went in with low expectations as so not to be disappointed. I was met immediately with open arms, so to speak. I could not have been more surprised at how welcome I immediately felt. Just like a big nationwide family. To anyone holding out because you’re “ unsure” , give it a shot the group will not disappoint. Just remember everyone in the group had the same feeling, we all went for the first time. Also I went with no car.

420ponies
1st meet I went to was the 1st outing in the Monte (2008), had a great time and just can't wait to go again. Missed a few along the way, but always a good time either with or without the Monte. I'm hoping to have it there this year if everything goes well with my bad wrist right now, this cast thing is not going good not working on my car. Hope to get everything done after it's off (cast is off on June 2nd). If not I'll be down with the bike or my baby Honda. Just nice to see all the Monte's and owner's having a great time!
